John Sommese who works for Skyday Real estate in Westchester Illinois
At 10031 west Roosevelt road.
There is a property in Chicago a 2 unit that I wanted to buy. I came to the seller and asked how much he wanted. He told me that I had to work with his realtor whom he just signed a listing agreement with.
So I called John Sommese the sellers agent and asked the status.
What he said next struck me as odd. Sommese than told me that there
Was something wrong with his seller that he wasnt all up there and that he didnt trust the seller and was going to file a lien against the property to protect his commission.
He went on to say that the seller is doing all the marketing and he also said that he wasnt putting the property in the mls.
I find out John is doing no work but is charging the seller 7% commission. Which is very high for a property in this neighborhood.
So I know now Sommese is out only for himself. I got it.
Sommese next tells me that the seller has building code violations and we need to move fast. The seller will accept your offer but you to order
Title and water and zoning certs. The seller wont pay for these usual seller fees. I order them and Sommese sends over the contract for me to sign. Sommese also tells me that we will need a death certification for the sellers dead mother. He cant go downtown in time so I need to go.
I do go and waste a day but get the death certification.
I had already signed the contract but the contract isnt coming back from Sommese. I call Sommese for 2 days he doesnt answer.
I tried calling from another number he doesnt answer I thought something may have happened to him. I latter find out that he doesnt answer calls if he doesnt know who you are. Here is his number 708.860.0497
I did find out from the seller that he went with another offer.
So I asked for my money back for the certs an title.
Sommese wouldnt come down and pay me even after he lied about the
Deal and all the time I put in.
I went to his boss and owner of Skydan, Jim Stillo. Stillo told me that he would get my money back for the title and the certs.
Stillo is another one like Sommese in the fact now he wont return calls.
I finally get Stillo by going thru the front office and they patched me thru to Stillo.
Stillo then tells me that Sommese is wrong in the way he serviced you but Sommese wont pay for title and may pay the $180 for the certs.
I asked Stillo send me the money for the certs. Stillo refused.
I told Stillo I was going to put this on ripoff.com. Stillos response if you

I have to tell you it gets better. The seller contract with the buyer fell thru. The seller emailed me and begged me to buy his house.
The city was hitting the seller with building violations and needed to sell now!
What does John Sommese do? He gets on the phone and starts to call everyone who may be interested in buying a run down 2 unit.
John Sommese wouldn't take my calls as to why he was doing this and
when I got another realtor to represent me Sommese laughed at the realtor and told him he didn't put the property in the mls for a reason.
I guess you could guess what the reason was.
If you need to buy or sell Real Estate in Westchester Illinois think twice about using John Sommese and Skydan real estate.

John Sommese and Sky Dan real estate

I rep the seller of the property in question. The complaint against John Sommese and Sky Dan Real Estate By Mr Cascio are totaly unfounded. I have always made it clear to any potential buyer or his rep that I will only accept the highest offer for the property in question as per my fiduciary duty to do so. Mr Cascio, after negotiations , offered 80k for the property. As Mr Cascio and I, the seller's rep, did not have a signed contract by me ,there was no deal. I had received a higher offer of 100K for the property. I accepted this offer which eventually was terminated. I indeed contacted Mr Cascio again to inquire if he still wanted to purchase the property. He said yes. However, Mr Cascio's offer was as his final previous offer of 80 K. Mr Sommese informed me to postpone signing the contract with Mr Cascio as he could probably get a higher offer for the property. I had decided to heed Mr Sommese's advice. We showed the property to various potential buyers. Sure to Mr Sommese's word ,we had gotten numerous higher offers than Mr Cascio's final offer. The lowest offer that Mr Sommese had gotten for the property was 95 K and the highest was 130K. The lowest offer had beaten Mr Cascio's offer by 15k and the highest by 50K. I would hire Mr Sommese again if I had property to sell. He has earned my trust. This gentleman is a hard worker and trustworthy. He is extremely knowledgable of the real estate business.
