SMOOTH MOVE RELOCATION AND STORAGE SERIAL FRAUD AND INSURANCE SCAM PRACTICES ripoff JESSUP Maryland

The pickup and packing by Smooth Move Relocation & Storage was ordered on the internet at the company website; there was also an advertised discount for military personnel of 7%. That is why I feel that they are targeting military personnel for an easy buck.

It's bad enough military personnel are not getting paid close enough for their duty to the Nation, but to have organizations such as these with serial fraud and deceptive practices documented, it is unconscionable. Smooth Move showed up with a nondescript van with no markings (a definite tip off of a rental vehicle).

That was 31 March 2006. My contact was Guy Ailam at the company. The customer's declaration of value, option 1, $5000.00, no deductible, for the value of the shipment was selected and paid at the time of pick up by check. This was an additional charge of a one time fee of 76.00 dollars.

On 21 JUL 2006 I paid the remainder. The final bill rose considerably due to the weight figured was exceeded. I paid the bill and transferred the shipment to a government contracted mover who documented extensive damages, in writing. Note; the storage facility was a rental store it facility that was not climate controlled.

I filed for damages, in writing, on 26 august 2006 in the amount of 3340.00 dollars claimed. The letter was mailed, receipt requested. I have spoken with Smmoth Move ("Maria; "Guy") on 26 SEP 2006, 1130 hours local; 27 SEP 2006, 1250 hours local; 02 OCT 2006, 1410 hours local; 03 OCT 2006, 1058 hours local; and finally, 19 OCT 2006, 1345 hours local. The owner of Smooth Move ""YIGAL SUISA" stated that "I was not going to get paid, will not tell me the name of the insurance company, and to go ahead and tell the FBI, who cares", or words to that effect.

The reasons I am pursuing this is: I am filing this to obatin assistance from consumer agencies; obtain reimbursement of claimed damages of $3340.00; to stop this company from engaging in fraudulant practices; to stop this company from engaging in serial deceptive practices; to stop this company from engaging in serial insurance deceptive practices; and stop this company from targeting government and military personnel. I have referred my case to the Maryland Insurance Administration and the Maryland Consumer Protection Division. At this time, I am consulting an attorney.
