Solace Funding Company This company scammed me out of $1400 for a $5000 loan. It is similiar to the National Funding Scam that I read about. ripoff Rockport Maine

On June 12, 2007, I received a loan application from Solace Funding Company stating that I had been approved for a $5000 loan payable over a three year period. I had to send $800 to keep in escrow for 5 months and it would be used towards paying off my loan. I

sent the money and then they asked me to send $800 more. I told him that I didn't have an additional $800 and he asked me if I could send $600. Well me like a dummy sent him my $600 but before I did that I told him that this was a scam and he told me he didn't need my money because he had been in business for over 20 years and this was not a scam.

The main person I dealt with was named Matthew Jamison. After I sent the $600, I was told that my credit was not good enough and that I would get my money back in a certified check in 1 week and a half. Needless to say, I went to their website and it had been disabled. I called the phone number and they wouldn't answer. I called the Rockport police to report them and was told that they had received complaints about this company also. So, now I am out of $1400 and without a loan.
