This unfortunate debaucle started with a post I saw promoted on twitter. A girl named Amanda or something had an account dedicated to her weight loss with the "secret" being a link in her bio. I clicked on the link and it took me to an article on CNN Newsline about her weight loss using garcinia cambogia and apple cider vinegar. At the end of the article it said the supplier of the garcinia was giving away free bottles; you just pay S&H. So I checked it out and the website looked sketchy, but it was only $5 so I was like whatever who cares. So I entered my info and placed the order. The website kept showing pop-ups of products they wanted me to add to my order, but I declined each time.

About an hour later, I got a call from a Fort Lauderdale number. When I answered, a girl who was really hard to understand told me she was confirming my order. She asked for my credit card info AGAIN, and I stupidly gave it to her. She said they were sending me a free trial of something else in addition to my order and something about later being charged the full price for the product. She then hung up and told me to check my email. Well, I didn't get any emails but I looked at my bank account and sure enough I had been charged another $5 with the charge name of SOLYMAR*green coffee. I tried to call the number back multiple times but it was bogus. I called my bank to see if I could have the charges reversed. They said I'd have to wait for the charges to post before I could file a claim.

I decided to look up solymar green coffee and sure enough, there were ripoff reports. I called the phone number included in the first report. 1-855-865-5093 The man I spoke to insisted the product is good and told me he would only refund the second charge. That I should at least try the product and then return it if unhappy. I told him I knew I was scammed and I wanted both charges refunded. He said "well you placed the order for a reason" to which I responded, "and I'm calling for a reason. If you can't reverse my charges I want to speak to a supervisor who can" After I said that, he promptly refunded my money and told me to have a good day.

When you call the number tell them you know it's a scam and insist on speaking with a supervisor. They are very persistent. Luckily I got my money back. I only hope more charges don't come out of my account as another report claimed.
