Southern California Edison So Cal Edison Refuses to Take Responsibility for Fire They Caused Rosemead California

On September 26, 2013, there was a sizeable fire on our street due to a tree branch that struck an electricity pole, forcing everyone on our street to evacuate. Although some of us sustained some minor burns, we were all ok. However, at least a couple of homes were burned, our yards were burned, and at least four cars parked very close under the electricity pole were burned. I had to file two claims and we had to pay $1000 for our insurance deductible. One car was totaled and the second car that came out the auto body shop (just the other day) now looks half-painted because our insurance company, AAA, did not want to pay any more money on a car that is valued almost the same amount that it cost to paint and fix the car (due to burn marks, partially melted car parts). I came down with a nasty case of the flu that night (Sept. 26), due to smoke and ash inhalation--and was quite sick for well over a month.  Edison has not yet taken responsibility. We have lived in this neighborhood for about 20 years and the tree that struck the electricity pole should have been cut down a long time ago. Also, the woman across the street from us was undergoing chemo due to breast cancer and was forced to evacuate. She passed away a couple of weeks after the fire. Please help us with this situation we are in. We want Edison to take responsibility.
