Southwestern Reserach Inc, practices the most VILE & DECEPTIVE business practices known to the professional world where they lure in subjects with false advertisement encouraging to sign up for their research program with monetary incentive but if you are not selected they just apologize while you are left with covering the transportation cost. In addition upon scheduling an appointment for my 1st visit I questioned if I would be reimbursed for it even if I do not get selected, I was assured by someone named Carla that I would be but upon traveling from San Diego to Beverly Hills I was told by Aisha that I don't qualify for their study because of "geographic location" (which in their advertisement they did not list that you must be local).
Following day when I called to speak with the Clinical Research Manager Darrelll Maag he told me that I was not selected because the Dr. (who never spoke, saw, or examined me) somehow concluded that I cannot be reliable candidate who will keep all appointments & follow the program. As for Carla stating I would be reimbursed for my 1st visit, Mr. Maag sternly concluded that she could not have said such a thing therefore I must be a delusional idiot who traveled so far to waste my time and financial resources. Bottom line is do yourself a favor and NEVER DO BUSINESS with SOUTHWESTERN RESEARCH, INC. they are repulsive, deceptive, and cruel.

I had been a patient of Dr . Murphy over a year ago. I can not begin to tell you how thoughtful Dr . Murphy and his staff are! I was always treated with respect, and kept informed very well. I was compinsated for the study. This company even will give you treatment for up to a year after your study is done. Because they do really care.
I enjoyed speaking with Dr . Murphy. He has a very professional side , but also a humorous, understanding side as well. He is unlike any other I've known.
As a post patient, I had some medical issues come up. (Nothing related to the study) I was really desperate. I had gotten a new job I really wanted to keep. The problem was my feet started to swell up so bad they were unrecognizable! I went to many medi-cal Dr's desperate for help. They ran lot's of tests, and were 3 quartz worth of wasting my time useless. If it takes 8 months to get a referral and be seen by a specialist, when you can't walk , how are you going to keep a job requiring you to run around alot!?? Dr . Murphy immediately advised me to give up all sugar, and do like an Atkins diet and see if it helps. IN 2 WEEKS MY FEET NEVER SWELLED UP AGAIN! :) I am not good at diets, I love sugar. But, he saved my job and being permanently disabled at 34! He's not just a Dr. He was my Angel. Without his help, I would be a single disabled mom.and totally screwed.He also gave me really great advice, and helped me get that job. I can't say enough good things about that place, and Dr. Murphy, Except from the bottom of my hart, Thank you :)
On a side note, I did notice many potential clients were not able to qualify because you can't be on drug's to participate. I noticed many couldn't stop smoking drug's or give up heavy drinking. That's not the Dr's fault. It's a safety issue. Also, if you are hour's away, why wouldn't you want to go to a closer facility? There are alot .People sometimes just want quick money to pay for there addictions. But in my opinion, this is a 10 star, top rated, best anywhere, Research Study facility!
