It is called an International Mobile Termination Charge. It is a surcharge that Sprint hits you with if you call an overseas mobile telephone. It's not a flat surcharge it is a .32 cents per minute charge in addition to your rate. For example if you have a .10 cents per minute plan you will actually be paying .42 cents per minute.

The company places a "B" by each of the calls to which it has applied the surcharge. When confronted initially, Sprint removed the charges and apologized. However, the history on the account was written to advise a future customer service rep that the customer had been given a one time credit and was advised of the surcharge.

The most recent explanation Sprint has provided is that overseas Mobile Companies, such as those in the United Kingdom, apply a surcharge to Sprint and Sprint is merely passing this charge along to the customer.
