It took St. John Hardware and Implement Co. Inc. over one year to figure out what was wrong with my 88 Bounder Motorhome while charging me $816 over the course of 3 months or in other words each time I tried to drive it, the Bounder had to be towed back five times at $250 each to Moscow, Idaho to St. John H & I. They charged $1350 for the fifth repair which I never authorized ten months later. I agreed to pay a total of $1398 for repairs and not $2,466 to finally get the engine running. I find this type of business practice predatorial since they are the only large engine repair facility in Moscow or Pullman. On Aug. 1 2007 I had my 88 Bounder towed to RnR RV in spokane Valley WA because it would not start. RnR RV charged $440 to get the engine running. On Sept. 10, 2007, I had my 88 Bounder towed to St. John H & I after it would not start again. RnR paid most of the $350 bill St. John H & I charged to get the engine running. I drove it to Wheatland RV storage and parked it. On Oct. 23, 2007 I tried to take the Bounder to the WSU football game and had to have it towed to St. John H & I again because it would not run. They charged $215 to get it running again. When I left WSU it would not start again on Oct. 26, 2007 and I had to pay for another tow to Moscow to St. John H& I. They charged another $161 to get it running again. On Nov. 7 I tried to take it to another football game in Pullman and the Bounder quit running and would not start again. I had it towed on Nov. 11 to St. John H & I for the 4th time. These tows should be reimbursed by St. John H & I. The Bounder was in storage in Pullman until I attempted to drive it again on Sept 17, 2008 during which it quit again and would not start. Each time the engine quit the Bounder was going uphill. St. John H & I knew this and should have replaced or repaired the gas tank on the second time they had the Bounder to repair. They charged $1,350 to get it running again. They should not charge me for the service truck because I told them the gas tank was the problem again but they sent a truck anyway who could not get the Bounder started. They should reimburse me $1,000 in towing fees because of their failure to properly repair the Bounder in Sept., 2007. I have already paid them $1,398 out of $2,466 total.
