After being injured at work, and being turned down by a workmen's compensation claim a North Dakota veteran now faces an uphill climb. He must square off against not only popular sentiment, but against two states where cover up reigns supreme. How could this have happened, it started as a result of not getting help from a corrupt State of North Dakota insurance company,( officials of which have since been ousted), not recognizing veterans injury. This created a hopeless situation for him, not being able to walk created a crucial decision for his wife, in order to provide for herself and her child she felt it better to leave. Veteran then ,since he couldn't work, fell behind in his support payments. After repeated jail terms, and local hospitals refusal to treat veteran's injury, Veteran's hospital stepped in to give veteran operation, to help him walk again. Veteran then, diagnosed with spinal diease due to injuries from workplace incident. Veteran then eligible for SSI benefits, for the next 30 years State of North Dakota garnishes 35% of SSI check charges interest for periods of unemployment when veteran couldn't work. Now State of North Dakota it's just not enough, get court orders to carry out 70% garnishment. When veteran inquires is told by case workers, this is against North Dakota State Law. Tell veteran that because he now lives in Minnesota,( Moved to avoid continuse apprehention by child enforcement), that it't allowable by Minnesota law. I've written a report along these lines with information about specific details of injury, if interested go to .ripoffreport , type State of North in search engine to view. #1 article that week. Some people might think that I'm taking advantage of my being a veteran, I can't change who I am. I was proud to serve, and think that since I'm responcible for my child rearing obligations, that the government should be responcible for their obligations towards their workers. especially when it comes to helping people that pay into their insurance premiums. I would have at least expected to have been retrained in order not to be such a burden on society. Thank you Keenan Reese Fosston Minnesota. Yes I am a Veteran and yes I am disabled, deal with it.
