I just found that Sterling co. oursources their services to National specialty insurance co. Trying to reach them was impossible!!! The worst of all they owe me 2k since i had changed insurance co. when i was refinancing about 6 months ago. Well, sterling or whoever never stopped it! now, i just found out that my escrow account had two homeowners insurances!!!  while i am paying about $800 annually for one, Sterling or QBE or National Specialty insurance was charging 2k annually!  The part the pisses me off, is how in the world charge double on a brand new home, i have never had a claim in my life but when you TRY TO CALL. they make sure you cannot!!! reach them. WHY BOTHER TO CANCEL. ? Well, i have 2k reasons to do so! meanwhile, if you are reading this!! do the same . CANCEL NOW, farmers and other banks have better rates and they are actually reachable!!!!!  why would someone overpay 2k and not be able to call!!!!!  FAILURE

UNEARNED PREMIUM SCAM

AUTHOR: ClaimAdvocate - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 14, 2011

Your policy requires you to give notice in writing to the company to cancel your contract with them. Its spelled out in the policy. Your right, they make sure you cant cancel to fast as you cant find them and if you do they dont take your calls. Technically you cant stop the premium from being earned over the phone. Thats why your premium is being ate up as we speak.  They make sure its difficult to cancel , except when they want to give you the boot.

You need to get the policy and a letter to them to cancel the policy promptly otherwise they can keep charging you premium. If you had a loss you cant collect twice on a property loss, its illegal to profit from an insurance claim scheme, but they can still scam you. Many policies require you to send the actual policy back to them to stop the premium being earned. Just a ploy to keep the policy in force as long as possible to collect more premium by the day that you dont need.

If you feel they have defrauded you go to the Dept of Insurance in Georgia and ask for assistance or file a complaint on line, thats what they are there for. You have no rights, insurers practice anti- consumerism after they get your money.
