Stillman Law Offices in Michigan are terrible and I cannot understand why someone of intelligence and w/a little pull or power has not yet done something with this collections law firm or change the laws in Michigan to protect the poor from getting poorer, losing their jobs, becoming homeless, tearing apart families, having to sign-up for welfare/state aid... the list is endless and it only takes one mistake or tragedy in your life to have a trickle-affect!  Stillman will take your home, auto, and whatever else they can get from you and the laws apparently allow it.  Many people do not know that these kind of law firms will (quietly) put a lien on your home and property, or even "future" home and property, to re-pay a debt from years ago! A debt older than 15 years! When I was a young, single mother trying to get by... I lost my job due to my "Quick Auto" piece-of-crap car breaking down and needing major repairs that I could not afford; my debt originally began at $1,000. Stillman purchased that debt years ago for a small fraction. I recently discovered, after Stillman took my state tax return this year, that I now owe approximately $5,500.  Companies like these LOVE to lay low and let the interest build against you, quietly (and within the law) put liens against you to take your home & property in the future. I beg someone to please investigate this firm or to please change the laws nationwide to prevent these things from happening to decent folk who are not criminals and are only being taken advantage of due to their unfortunate circumstances and financial situations. I pity those (lawyers/leaches) who decide to make a living feeding off (the bottom of the tank) other peoples hardships and misery; I wonder how they sleep at night. They are certainly among the bottom of the barrel. 

Not only do Michigan residents have to pay outrageous auto insurance (and this is, I believe, the reason why the road repair gas tax increase was voted down recently by michigan voters) but they also have to deal with snakes, a.k.a. law firms like this one, who take advantage of others misfortunes.
