Purchase a 30K Sony Rack System in 2006 fron Structured Cable of Va. Turned house into a rental property and ask that they move my entire system to another property that was already prewired for the system. I was willin gto pay for this service. All it encompased was them programming the system and hooking up to existing wires. No wiring needed but they are the only ones with the computer program to program system. I was told by Vice President, Dee Straub, that they were not comfortable and it was illegal to go to North Carolina to do work. As I tried to explain to him it was just programming and not any type of electrical construction, he still refused to assist me. They want to sell you an overpriced system and then do nothing to maintian you as a customer. I would be very weary of purchasing from them. Their customer service is the worst I have ever seen. Never willing to work with you. They are overpriced on all their services and products and send out nasty emails whenever you have a concern. Not a way I would run a business so BEWARE if you think about using Structured Cable of VA located in Richmond VA. You will be sorry!!!

AUTHOR: Dee Straub - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 27, 2010

Structured Cable of Virginia regrets that Mr. Jeff Burgess was unhappy that our company cannot provide service to him in North Carolina. As of two week ago, Mr. Burgess was satisfied with our services, as evidenced by the fact that he recently asked us to do additional work.

At Structured Cable of Virginia, we choose to market our services to the Central Virginia market.  To serve our customers efficiently, we maintain locations in Richmond and in Williamsburg.  In Virginia, we are a licensed Class A contractor, registered with the State Corporation Commission, and have business licenses in the various localities where we operate.  In addition, we carry all insurance required in Virginia.

We attempted to explain this to Mr. Burgess and, referred him to a company, owned by a colleague, located in Raleigh, NC.   That company can perform the same services that he wanted us to perform.

Structured Cable of Virginia strives to make sure all customers experience the best service we can offer. Unfortunately, we cannot offer service where Mr. Burgess requests it. Our company operates under the adage that the customer is always right. However, when it comes to dictating the geographic footprint within which we operate, we cant comply.
