We have been living in this house since December 28, 1990 when my wife and I closed escrow for this property.

On October 1990, Randy, the owner of SUNSHIELD Awning Company signed a contract to build a 24 feet by 14 feet.Solarium. The final inspection by the City Of Henderson was completed on 30-JUN-1992.

The solarium had always been maintained by SUNSHIELD over the years. The glass has been maintained by us and by professionals until recently when the wind started to shake the unit.

The man who started the rumor about a possible manufacturer's defect is Mr Kenneth Smith of Sunshield, the same Ken Smith who originally constructed the solarium.

Mind you, this is the same Ken Smith who have maintained the solarium for many years. Randy of Sunshield was brought in a few times to inspect the ceiling of the Solarium. To Randy's surprise I was the original owner, apparently that had never happened in this town before.

Randy, the owner of SUNSHIELD remained quiet about what he had found for several weeks, in fact, he never got back with us.

But recently as the wind began to beat up on the Solarium to the point of removing one of the panel from the Roof, I called my homeowner's Insurance to assess the damage that had been done by the wind because I remember specifically that American Family Insurance came in and took pictures years ago of everything before I started to pay the premium, and everything was fine then.

Now that there is a loss Robert Costello of American Family Insurance has been dancing around the claim for many weeks, looking for all kind of excuses not to pay the claim.

That is where we are right now.
