My name is Jack. I learned in a school in Israel for the past 2 years. It was truly a great experience. My school was unbelievable, and my teachers were beyond words. I'm very happy with my decision that i went to the "Holy Land"...
The only problem that i had in "The Holy Land" was that there were some people and some businesses that are definitly not HOLY. For example my biggest worst enemy "Talk N Save". I've had Talk N save my entire time/trip in israel, that's 2 years of business from me. My second month learning abroad in israel with not allot of money with me, I recieved my phone bill in the mail. I'm sure when anyone sees mail with their name on it theses days, and doesn't say their parents name on the top left, they will always dread the moment because it'll most probably be a bill for you to pay. Well sure enough it was a bill, and it was from Talk N Steal. I opened it up and saw that they wrote i owe $162.30... Wowwwww!!!! I was fuming, i was soo upset being that i am beyond careful about my minutes i use. In fact i actually calculated it that month and i only used around 100 (one hundred) minutes. This was absurd! After being upset for 5 min. or so, i figured okay maybe they made a mistake. So i called Talk N Save. They said they didnt mean to do it and it was a mistake, it will not happen again, so they reduced my statement bill.. Okay fine, things happen right???
NOOOOOO, again the following month they added more charges than usual.... and again and again and again... Thank G-d I actually stood on top of this, because i have a friend Moishe who didnt really look over his bill and when we got home to NY after spending 2 years together in Israel he started analyzing his phone bills and realized he paid $1,076.54 more than what he was suppose to. Moishe called the company and they said no we are really sorry but there is nothing we can do about it.... But they said if u would like i can reserve u a phone for next year na dwe will make sure it wont go over. So moishe saiid no i want my money back, and Talk N Save blaintly said straight out to him NO! we do not give money back,,,,, they straight up stole money from him, from other friends, try to take from me and will probalby soon take from u if u deal with them at alll.....
They are sick b***ards, and deserve to be put in "Cheirim".....

I firstly apologize for the long post, I just want to give you the flip side of the coin and to give my remarks about the above post.
I am taking the time out of my day to write this, not because I care if Talk'n'Save gets your business or not; I am writing this because I run a business and in these days when companies are closing and more and more people are becoming unemployed and can't support their families, it angers me that people will continue to use the media and message boards as ways to destroy a companies credibility. Now I am not saying that the above person is a company in competition with Talk'n'Save, but if you read the above article you will find many things that make no sense and is kind of ironic:
1. He writes "I've had Talk N save my entire time....that's 2 years of business...again the following month they added more charges than usual.... and again and again and again...i called Talk N Save. They said they didnt mean to do it and it was a mistake", but in reality that shows me the HONESTY of this company. A company to openly admit that they made a mistake in the billing, and especially for 24 months each month, and they credited him back every time? Amazing! Now that's an honest company you don't see these days.
2. If Jack and all his friends were "robbed" for two years why didn't they just close the account, even if they would get hit with a cancellation fee of say $100 that's much better than losing $1500 each.
3. Jack writes that he got his bill in the mail. I specifically remember asking Talk'n'Save if I can get it via mail, and they said that policy is to send via e-mail, to insure that all customers get the itemized bill.
I can keep going on about how the above remarks hold no ground whatsoever, but I am sure you have had enough. Instead I will now give you the flip side of the coin.
With TalknSave I found that their prices were great but more than that, I found that their service was amazing.
Not only do they cut their prices, but the main point (which we all look for) they dont cut back at all. Their staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their many different services and options keep you connected wherever you are.
When I got back I recomended them to a friedn who runs a tour group, and they used Talk'n'Save, and were very happy and had no issues.
All in all if you are looking to keep you money in your pocket and have a worriless trip then go with TalknSave..where in my opinion you Talk and Save (on headaches as well as money)

In the last several years, there has not been a single customer with an initial bill of $162.30. I realize this is a small, nitpicky point, but I want the world to realize that we not only take any allegations of wrongdoing quite seriously, but that the slanderous report above in indeed not based on any facts.

I have worked at Talk'n'Save since 1999, and I could give example after example of how we not only are meticulous in our billing practices (including processing refunds even if a mistake of ONE PENNY was made), but how our customer service is also outstanding and thorough. I am very, very proud of our company.
Specifically regarding this 'report', however, I have searched our databases, and as I suspected, we've never had a customer by the name of "Jack Meoff" (and that is a memorable enough name, I do believe we would have noticed it). I encourage the author of this report to provide supporting materials (a statement?) to prove that he indeed was a customer.
Additionally, we do not send our bills by regular mail, but my email, so perhaps Mr. Meoff is confusing us with another company.
That said, we urge any, any past customer with a grievance (or any prospective customers with questions) to be in touch with us about their account. Do mistakes occasionally occur? Of course. But we are committed to correcting them, period.
Even a penny. And if it were the case, even $1,076.54.
So please, "Jack," drop us a line. Tell "Moishe" to do so as well. Email me, miriam@talknsave.net, and you'll get a prompt, personal reply. If we made a mistake, we'll fix it, period, and I will happily post the details here at Rip Off Report for the world to see.
