I am writing this to warn all potential clients (victims) of this so called A+ Christian Founding Tax Company. What a load of crap they pitched me. To Tell you just a bit about me and what happened. I was audited by the IRS for 3 years and they came to the conclusion that I owed $31000. For me I was sick to my stomach and wondering what to do, because I did not have the kind of money to pay them back.
Long story short, a sought out legal advice and did my research. Unfortunately, not good enough research. I ended up falling in to the slick hands of a company called TAX TIGER. They pitched my beautifully and made the IRS look like big, bad bullies that I need protection from and that Tax Tiger, a Christian backed and founded company was the right ones to stand up to the IRS.
I eventually felt desperate and decided to agree to a paymet plan which would initially total $2800 for them to represent me in hopefully reducing the amount and taking care of everything. After a bunch of work I had to do, to present to this company I started to get the feeling that I was getting the run around. I couldnt put my finger on it, but it didn't seem right. After several weeks, i then got the phone call from a top attourney for their firm (probably B.S.), that told me that I would be a prime candidate for an Offer and Compromise and that he would probably get the debt I owe to IRS reduced to $7500 from $30000. I was overwhelmed with joy. He said , it would take a lot of paper work more to do this procedure and Tax Tiger would need more $$.
i ended up agreeing to an additional $1850 even though that was alot, he said it was better than owing over $30000 to IRS. I asked him repeatedly what are the chances of this being reduced to that amount and he said, about 98% good chance. Sweet, lets do it. With in a few weeks I hear from IRS, that this was denied. LOL Figures, I should of know when they started of theirs sales pitch with, "we are a Christian founded company". Just for the record I am a Christian and this touched me, but should of know better when a law firm dealing with taxes uses this to win me over,.
Any how, a very long story short, after asking for my money back and saying this is bs i gave up on them:. I called the IRS myself and they said to me, "all of those supposedly legit tax lawyers out their bad mouth us and make us look evil, most of them have the most complaints and are getting turned over to the attorney general and BBB'. I ended up dealing with the IRS, I redid another OFFER and Compromise with the IRS, they walked me threw the paperwork, told me how to do it all.. IT was so easy! It literally took me about 1 hour to finish it and the I sent it in,. And by the way, it cost me $1:.35 for postage hahah'. Guess what, final result, the IRS settled for a total of $1500 and giving me several months to pay it back|.
So just as a big warning to all, dont fall in my shoes. Just call the IRS unless you know without a shadow of a doubt who the company really is that you are dealing with. This is Tax Tigers Website: http://www.tax-tiger.com/
By the way, They list on the BBB they are A+, however it is for their subsidary companies in California, NOT Austin, Texas. They are Scammers , trust me when I tell you this! I left out alot of the other shady things they said to me and did, so I could keep this semi short! Take care and good luck!

The Best Ever!
AUTHOR: superuser - ()

To All,
This company at this excact location is the "Best Ever!!!!! We had our ALMOST $100,000 dollar tax bill settled by them for
$695........Do you see that? $695....................
Were we frustrated and felt there was no end in sight during the process?...........of course we were.........Were there a few hiccups along the way?......of course there were,as this is the IRS that they are working with on your behaf. We could not breathe at times, could not think, lost weight due to all the stress that all this was causing.
Then the magical day came, the agreement from the IRS arrived at home stating "We have accepted your offer in compromise"............It was as miracle from God!
Our lives from that day forward have changed thanks to the people at the Tax Tiger office in Austin Texas!
For what it is worth..The IRS makes the rules not Tax Tiger and they are clearly spelled out in black and white.
Our advice we feel is the most important of all "Be honest on that very first phone call with Tax Tiger" do not try and say you dont have money here or there or assets that you really do. Be truthfull about all income and people in the home.As the IRS is about to go through your life like you never have seen.As long as you are honest and upfront the process "Will work" .....We are living proof that it does!
We took the time to write this as it a drop in the bucket compared to what the people at the Tax Tiger in Austin Texas did for us!
Thank you!

Tax Tiger Rebuttal

Antonio,
First, we are absolutely an ethical company operating under values you rarely find in our industry, and regardless of your need to vent and throw mud, we will not. What we will do is explain a few of the issues you failed to make people aware of when you posted your concerns rather than voice them to us.
We are sorry to hear that you feel the way you do, but you clearly omitted a few facts that certainly could have resolved your issue before ever getting to this point. First, there are no victims of Tax Tiger, and had you called and voiced your concern with the owner of our Austin office, I can assure you that your problem would have been addressed in a completely satisfactory way, and in your favor. You could have also chosen to voice your complaint to the BBB, which would have verified all facts involved, and we still would have satisfied you beyond your requests. Problem is, you chose not to approach Tax Tiger with your issues, nor a credible resolution system like the BBB, but rather voice your complaint on a site that could care less if what you are saying is true or not.
Ive reviewed all notes on your case in Austin, and there are obvious omissions. You called Tax Tiger and explained your situation, and that you were under audit for submitting fraudulent income/expense calculations on your tax returns for three years, which leads to a credibility issue to begin with. We explained your options, based on the income you provided to us during your financial analysis. You chose to hire us to negotiate a repayment term you could live with, as well as submit a penalty abatement request on the years under audit. Yes, you had to do a bit of work to collect the documentation that would substantiate the numbers you provided to us initially, which we later found out to be incorrect as well. You explained that your income varies, but that it was much lower right at this point. Upon re-evaluating your numbers again, we determined that you could be a candidate for an Offer in Compromise if your income was to stay the same, but that it would have to take into account future income and would amount to upwards of a $7000 settlement on a debt owed of about $30K. Even though at this point our original service to you have been completed, we chose to apply all prior service fees towards the fee for an Offer in Compromise should you chose to do that, even though we would lose money in the long run, our goal is to always have our clients best interest in mind. You then chose to hire Tax Tiger to submit an Offer in Compromise and agreed to the additional difference in fees for this service. Your offer was rejected, so we took the case to appeals (at no additional cost to you). Your offer was denied in appeals based on the IRSs future income calculations. This was all explained to you along the way, and never once did you decide not to move forward, nor did you ever voice your concern to anyone after the rejection based on income. You were less than forthright with us about the income to begin with, and this had an obvious impact on the outcome of your resolution.
You stated that you submitted your own offer and it made it through the IRS system. It very well could have, especially since the IRS just issued new future income calculations on May 21st, 2012, (search the IRS website for new flexible offer-in-compromise terms and you will see this) but had this not been the case, you would NOT have had your own offer accepted, at least not if you provided accurate information. The acceptance of your own offer submission was merely based on the timing of such, and nothing else.
We are glad that your offer was accepted and wish you well in the future.
Sincerely,
Tax Tiger
