I went in to get a test done at a local clinic. Their website claims that tests done at the facility are either free or without cost depending on income. I presented the required information to them and they accepted it. I was told to proceed to see the nurse. After the test, I was told to see the receptionist. The receptionist told me that I would need to pay a cost that was greater than what the hospitals and private doctors in the area was charging.

My two complaints about this place are that: 1) They falsely claim to be a low-cost/no fee non-profit clinic; 2) They did not tell me that they were going to charge me or how much I would be charged; 3) Given the amount that I was charged, I could have seen a full fledged medical doctor, instead of a "nurse practitioner". I did not make a stink about it because I had to hurry to get to another appontment. I wish someone had informed me of this poor service before I went. I would have defnitely gone somewhere else.
