Telebrands.com Olde Brooklyn Lantern Not as depicted on TV, won't refund shipping and I must pay shipping to return via UPS w/insurance Van Nuys, California

After ordering 2 Olde Brooklyn Lanterns on line for a total of 29.97 with shipping I received two (2) boxes from Olde Brooklyn Lantern. Opening both boxes I discovered they had sent a total or five (5) lanterns and billed me accordingly for a total of $75.42 with shipping.

After installing two D Cell batteries I tried one of the lanterns at night in a 400 S.F. room and was very disappointed. The light was soft (not bright) and the control had to be turned up completely to receive any usable lighting. These lanterns are nothing compared to a good Coleman florescent tube lantern which can be had for around $25 on Amazon and it would take at least 5 Olde Brooklyn Lanterns to match the light output of one Coleman lantern.
I called the company in Van Nuys Ca and asked about returning items and was offered a discount (at least twice) of $16 if I wished to keep the items. No Thanks.

Now I must ship back to them at my expense via UPS with insurance and they will refund original purchase price minus the shipping of $13.98. If I had not opened the second box I assume they would have worked something out but not sure what.

With the shipping to Van Nuys which is about 45 miles it will probably cost another $13.98 for a total cost of $27.96 just to try out the junk they sent and wait two weeks for a refund credit on AmEx.
