No wonder people don't want to do business in Corpus Christi - what a disgrace to the community. Report this man to the Texas Workforce Commission and the IRS. Freelancers have rights. He has admitted to giving you specific instructions about work - I believe that is one of the items the IRS considers when deciding if you are an employee or contract - look into unemployment law. He may not pay you now, but he will after they go through his paperwork and see these postings. Make sure to document them - he can't do this to you. See if he's paying sales tax - there are people out there that can get justice for you.
