The worst experience with any business ever. In a bind, we hired them last season based on a recommendation from Jersey Chemical Company where we bought the pool.

Red flags: they only take cash, removing some aspects of comsumer protection

They use a Clifton address as a front (we did not know this at the time)

Upon arriving the foreman "Bob" had my husband sigh a "receipt" on the seat of his van showing him only the price $545 and nothing else. Asking for a copy he was told he would get it when the job was done.

They were told exactly what to do and where to place the posts so the deck could be secured correctly. I arrived soon after and retold the directions. They said they understood. They where shown specifically by both of us. Our hired "professionals made an error in measurement and got it wrong. Foreman Bob's quote "It's the best we can do". Really? We did the same job twice ourselves and were able to match it up perfectly.

We refused to pay because we had no access to our pool! The owner would NEVER return our calls to discuss compromise and those who sold us the pool said "That's Tony. If you complain, he shut's down, it's you fault." Thanks for recommending a sociopath. It was shocking how little he cared about customer satisfaction He would never look at it and only communicated through threatening e-mails to sue us, mentioning a contract neither of us had ever seen, you guessed it, the "receipt".

OK, so the contract says we must supervise the job. We did, but does this mean we must hover over them the whole time and check every measurement? Evidently, they are so unskilled that's exactly what you must do. Having little choice with a yard full of people coming and impending surgery we chose to avoid court. His whole staff is in on the scam. This cost us an additional $185 to have them attach the deck directly to the pool.  We regarded it as a temporary solution. Upon showing past photos and getting Bob to admit that we could put in a pool better than he could his exact reply "Yeah, but we get paid for it."

The deck is now a crooked mess that pushes onto the pool wall anytime we use it. We intend to take it down ourselves and put it up correctly. Our hearts go out to anyone who had a pool installed by this company, especially in ground. Any problems will leave you with nowhere to turn. A complaint to the BBB got no response, just the same idiot foreman Bob coming by to tell me "Tony puts me in the middle. He only cares about the money."  They also lied to the NJ Cosumer Protection Agency about how the signature was obtained. You can bet they know their way around a coutroom far better than honest people.

Mr. Ferrara even thratened my first ammendment rights if I told anyone about our bad experience. I am recovering now and am no longer afraid. It's not slander if it's the truth and we owe it to the public to tell our story should they look for reviews to make up for the fact that we did not. Upon researching, we definitely found a pattern of dishonesty.

Homeowner Inebriated

AUTHOR: anthony - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, April 22, 2016

When we arrived at the Job, Joan Lamond appeared to be inebriated.  They signed our Contract and we did what we were paid to do.

Obviously, when reading her comments, it appears she is again inebriated and apparently needs help.

I feel no additional comments are warranted at this time.
