It is true that The Bridges Center doesn't pay or chooses to pay certain employees minimum wage. But it seems most employees are missing the bigger picture. These kids they can't provide Case Mgrs to see or Dr's to write prescriptions, only get worse. They are being incarcerated and committed for The Bridges Center's lack of morality and legal obligations. Instead of them choosing to close down doors or refer patients to a different facility. They completely ignore phone calls and messages until angry previous employees and clients show up, the doors are being locked to avoid these angry confrontations.
The phone number has changed the clients are not aware. They have filed bankruptcy I'm almost positive the doors will close anytime. The owner doesn't respond to court summons, unemployment claims, or previous employees calling about their check. Employees new & old are quitting on a daily basis. The employees they do hire and stay for awhile are treated really bad. Harassed on a daily basis about bringing in more revenue. Instead of them coming up with a financial plan they just hire until people quit. Soon there will only be one employee left, Ms. Veronica Davis she's the only one that will stay despite it all. *raises eyebrow
The Bridges Center only cares about money nothing about the children or what they are going through. It's really sad and it should be illegal. This has to be some form of neglect to these children and adult patients.

#5 REBUTTAL Owner of company
Response from Elana Winfrey

Rip Off Report Guidelines --"Rumors, speculation, or innuendo unless you have personal knowledge that your statements are true.
Very few of the statements in this report are true (as is with most reports on the site. Surprised it still exists). But I will address the report. The Bridges Center was closed, by me, in January 2012, voluntarily, due to financial difficulties in bringing in revenue to pay staff and operating expenses. People make assumptions that if your doors are open, you are 'making money.' Any business owner knows this is not necessarily true. My family lost almost everything in the process of trying to keep the doors open.
Additionally, not sure how this rumor was developed, but my license was never taken, nor any sanctions brought against me in any way. No State agency ever contacted me about closing our doors, nor conducted an official investigation for any reason. Although this was reported to media by employees, this, I have confirmed, was never reported to media by an official State entity, because it did not happen. I chose to close the agency for the sake of all effected by the financial stress: employees, consumers, and self. it was a great decision, as I can now focus my time and energy on what I do best. Helping people to get better and be better.
Knowing that the financial difficulties effected so many, in so many ways, is a stressor that I will always carry with me. How can I not. As the leader of such a large entity, I was ultimately responsible to ensuring that all aspects of the business were executed, but trying to do so as an individual left at the helm, was beyond overwhelming, and thus adequate process execution, did not occur. For that I do humbly apologize.
Because of my marketing "know how" we grew very fast , in a very short period of time, and thus did not adjust to State changes well, as they occurred. Being big is not always a 'good' thing. I hope that my past experience, of building a great entity, will be of useful benefit to those who consistently inquire about 'what went well.' I am happy to share all of the lessons learned. -Elana Winfrey, MEd, LPC ****************

As of today, Veronica Davis is STILL THERE! I was recently hired and quit within a week. If I had known about these issues, I WOULD HAVE NEVER sought employment with them. I am telling everyone I see to NOT USE THEIR SERVICES OR SEEK EMPLOYMENT WITH THE BRIDGES CENTER!!!!

Nowhere does it state Mrs. V. Davis is to blame my posts says shes the only employee that stays around despite it all. *Raised eyebrow meaning who knows why. We all know who is to blame Mrs. V. Davis takes orders just likeeveryone else. At the end of the day all that matters people didnt get paid agreed amount...so dont take a job there and dont take your children there they are getting neglected by the drama at TBC.

I don't think that Ms. Veronica Davis has anything to do with whats going on with TBC. She is a caring god fearing woman who just wants to help and be the advocate for the employees. I am no longer employed with TBC for the same reasons as others but I actually know that Veronica Davis has nothing to do with that mess. She is a victim that is too kind to leave a sinking ship. But I actually heard that she has finally gotten smart enough to just jump ship and is no longer the patsy for TBC. But it's a shame that you blame the one person who was actually there telling the truth and helping the employees.
