Jennifer Tresh was stripped of her license as a registered nurse after she was caught stealing prescription pads and writing them out to herself and her friends for oxycontin. As a result, she and her husband were forced to sell their interest in the deaf academy. She went into rehab to avoid prison. During the ordeal, she blamed the doctor with whom she and her husband had partnered to start the facility, Dr Alan Cohen, for for everything. His livelihood and reputation were put on the line by a woman who would do anything to protect herself and cover up her addictions. Dr. Cohen was found innocent and still practices medicine today. He is now listed as the ONLY founder of NDA. Ironically, the Treshs also used the name of their deceased daughter when starting the deaf academy as well as their charity. Jennifer and James Tresh were removed from any association with the hospital in order to rebuild its reputation. Dr. Alan Cohen is a fine doctor and is still well loved. Jennifer caused a great deal of pain and harm to Dr. Cohen and his family in the process of making her false accusations. Fortunately, he has returned to his position and is still held in very high esteem. People in our business know the truth and his reputation is widely known and loved in the deaf community. Reading these reports on here and other websites about the Tresh's and their victims brings back a lot of memories. The fact that they got away with it makes me sick.

Here is her 2005 arrest in Pinellas County. This was likely for a warrant from her
out of county drug case in 2005. She had that whole court record erased, almost,
she forgot about her Pinellas County Jail visit. See picture.
