I was told (emphatically) that the Mutual Fund Store nor any of its funds would charge me any fees, other than the MFS's quarterly maintenance fee.  That is not true - you're charged redemption fees in some of the funds that they'll put you in.  Problem is, they put  you in those funds - you have no control over that.  Also, they tell you that you can liquidate at any time - that's true, but in some funds you may have to pay that redemption fee that they told you wouldn't be charged.   Also, I was also told I would receive a $900 promotional bonus for opending my account by a certain date - it turns out you have to wait 3 years to get that money.  I'll manage my own money from here on out.
