I want to add that my 23 year old daughter went through acting, modeling and vocalist training on an almost weekly basis with Holly and Jennifer.  So the cost of $5000 over 4 months is on the high side.  It could be much lower depending on the frequency, and variety of the training. 

In any event, it is well worth it as my daughter has signed with 3 agencies and has been invited to record at the studio of a record label (not a record deal, but a great opportunity and could lead to more)!

 My 23 year old daughter went through The Star Movement grooming/training process with owner Holly Caputo and vocal coach Jennifer M. The experience was overall challenging, rigorous, beneficial and enjoyable. She participated in the Showcase where about 20 agents watched her sing, act and model. Most of the agents called her back and she now has new opportunities in the entertainment business. The whole process cost about $5000 plus over 4 months but I believe worth it. So if you are talented, can afford it and want to be placed in front of real agents, the Star Movement is the real deal.

I found Holly unwilling to take my money.  My daughter sang at an audition and was interviewed in my presence by Holly. Holly took a considerable amount of time with my daughter, explaining how she enjoyed my daughters performance.  However, Holly told my daughter, straight out, that my daughter did not convince her that she wanted to do what was necessary to have a career singing.

I asked about lessons and was told, Tracy has a great voice and needed additional training but not unless Tracy changes her attitude regarding a committment to the art.  I thought Holly was very perceptive regarding my 15 year old daughters lack of motivation.  Holly told Tracy she would love to talk with her again and to just call if she decides that singing is what she wants to do as an Artist.

Holly did not crush my daughter in anyway with her decission not to take my daughter under her wing at this time.  I think it may have been the kick in the pants that my daughter needed.

I have had the honor of working with this amazing company for 1 year.  I have sent several talented singers and actors to be evaluated by Holly and her team.  Several was not ready; she knows talent when she sees it.  However; there was a young actor who she coached by skyping with him got him ready to attend an Orlando Florida industry showcase.  He met with  agencies and other industry professionals and was signed.   We know  there are  some people who can sing; but can't entertain an audience; we also know that there are some people who have talent and have not met the right people who can help them reach their full potential to land a professional career and live out their dreams.   Holly and her team at the The Star Movement have had a 100% success rate working with talentend entertainers. Presently we are preparing more talented entertainers for career consultataions to be evaluated and attend our upcoming showcases.

As one of agencies that are invited to meet with the talent through her talent showcases, we have been able to find several great and amazing talent. 

Holly Caputo does an excellent job in developing and preparing her talent for the "real" industry. As an agent, I cannot explain how refreshing it is for us to meet talent that is prepared and ready to start working, as soon as you meet them. They are professional and well trained by the time that we actually meet them at the Star Movement Showcase. I am very thankful to Holly and her team, for allowing us to be one of the several select agencies from across the country, that scout her showcase. My colleagues from NYC, LA, Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, Chicago and Atlanta, were present to scout at her showcase. 

One example of her going over and above to assist her talent, was presented to me this past week. One of the male actors & model and that I met at her convention last December and currently resides in the Orlando area, needed to complete an audition video for a role on the television show, the Vampire Diaries. The talent had no one to do the video tape and Holly immediately came to the rescue. Not only did she video tape him, she provided us with several takes, to assist his chance of obtaining the job. We haven't heard whether or not he has the job yet, but he definitely wouldn't have a chance, without Holly. We "Thank You" for continuing to assist and help the talent, even after they have signed with agency.

I can only imagine that the parent who wrote this complaint, was disheartened that he was told that his daughter may need some additional training, to be competitive in the industry. Star Movement and Holly Caputo has shown complete professionalism throughout our interaction with the company. I can truly say, that in my 25 years in the industry and having worked with agencies in Milan, Paris, NYC prior to opening my agency in Atlanta in 1996, Holly is one of the most professional talent scouts that we have ever worked with.  I am a mother of a 14 year old teen who were lucky enough to have met Miss Holly from The Starmovement. Holly's experience and connections have made a huge difference in my daughters life in a very short time. I must say that not only my daughter but I have also learned a lot from Holly. She is a straight shooter who makes everything very clear so you have a great understanding of the journey of this business. We are all very grateful to have someone so honest guiding and training our daughter.

It is disheartening to hear that somone had a negative experience with Holly Caputo and The Star Movement. 

It is difficult to discern whether a talent agent is a credible person with one's child's interests at heart, but Holly Caputo is not a rip off nor is she an amateur. 

I've personally seen ads in various boutique stores with models she has discovered and groomed to be signed by reeputable modeling agencies. The same holds true for actors, singers and dancers. 

Because the entertainment field is highliy competetive, it may seem that your child has "IT" but compared to others Holly has met at auditions, sometimes there needs to be more formal training. 

Not only does Holly help to develop a child's talents further, she also teaches the parents about the business. She was once a performer herself, so her unique perspective actually helps her clients gain valuable insight in how the entertainment business works. 

She actually has a 100 % success rate in having her clients signed to record companies, modeling agencies and such. 

It's all about making certain her clients are absolutely ready to be connected to the best of the best in the industry. 

And if you don't want to use her services to help your child get the exculsive exposure one needs to advance in this field... you don't have to...

But it's certainly NOT a rip off.  

We have discover great talent at The Star Movement. There selected talents are generally very coached, seasoned and easy to work with apparently do to the work and preperation of their programs. Without proper training and professional guidance, talent will find themselves going in circles..   

I have been a professional singer, dancer, and actress for over 25 years. Though I cannot include my full identity here, I will say that my first job was as a Mouseketeer on The Disney Channel in 1989. I have performed with Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Keri Russell, and Ryan Gosling, to name a few. Google if you like:)

For about 2 years, I have worked as an independent contractor with Holly Caputo and The Star Movement. I have met and worked with Holly in person, as well as provided vocal coaching for her clients in person and via Skype. Holly believes in and cares about every one of her clients. Most of our conversations center around presenting her clients in the most marketable ways possible, as well as caring for the emotional endurance of a client during the training process. I have seen her clients' social media feeds celebrating their record deals, photo shoots, and music videos!

Her full time focus is finding individuals who not only have legitimate talent, but also have the drive to become excellent in all that show business will most likely require of them. I have had a relationship with Holly since she had an agency in Orlando.

As an agency we have attended several of Hollly's events.  I can honestly say her talent are extrmemly well put together and VERY knowledgable on the industry.

We have had wondeful experiences with those we took on for representation. We have been able to send them to castings and they have been professional, prepared and ready to deliver.  They are clearly in a position to go out and go to work.

As I have no idea about your daughter or the other person who were told they were not prepared. That is a difficult situation to call.  BUT I do know that Holly does not present talent to Agency's unless they are ready to go to work.

That we all apreciate from Holly. That we get good talent ready to be hired and make us all money.

 Ok first off I have been one of Holly clients for December showcase and have been sighned with several REAL Agents,She is only to do her job and if she thought your daughter needed to know a few things then she did,she is good at what she does and to throw her under the bus is down right dirty,I understand you did not want to heir her words,but come on if she was that good why didn't you put her on voice kids or the Idol umm because she is NOT ready I assume since you tried to bite my coach Hollys head off and take down her compais..Nothing is free people get trained everyday even the best keep up with their matrials since its so easy to forget...But THE STAR MOVEMENT IS NOT A RIPPOFF..HOLLY and her team strive to put their clients at best..I have recommended to several people and a few have took on...YOU ROCK HOLLY AND WE THANK YOU AND LOVE YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME..MIRANDA

I was an agent for 10 years, so I'm not going to tell you what you want to hear, I'm going to tell you the truth, and that's why every person that I have worked with has been offered a contract and is now working with Agents, Managers & Record Labels. 

Are you going to get on-line and slander everyone's name who tells your daughter "No" ?

You threw a temper tantrum like a child, the moment we met because you were told that you had to fill out a registration form. You proceeded to throw an even larger one, when I told you that your child was not ready for our showcase. The reason that every person that we have put through our showcase has been offered a contract, is because they have been ready to be there, and I'm not going to waste anyone's time or money putting someone there that isn't ready. In addition it is also my reputation, and every agent, manager & label can tell you the reason why they have signed our models and talent, and why our models and talent superseed the rest.

Now, I don't care where you go to get your child training, but she needs training. If she wants to be able to compete with other kids who are also her age and working in the industry, then she needs to be that ready, and she is not. Unfortunately, your daughter's performance quality was not there, her audition was not believeable. She may have had some  "professional" vocal training, but a performance is more than a decent voice. In addition, just because one has worked with a "professional" it doesn't mean that that's the end all, be all. Different professional coaches can do different things for ones performance.

My company does offer training for those who need it, and it's at the most elite level.  We do things on an individual basis, because every model and talent comes to us at a different place, but we ONLY do for one what is needed. My company does what it does, because as an agent, I met tons of models and talent who could be working, but they were not ready, and it was simply because they didn't have the right guidance along their way. Now this is an industry where you can chase your tail your entire life, but my company was designed to be a straight line to get you there, in a short period of time. There are no guarentees in this business, but considering every person has been offered a contract....I would say that The Star Movement has done an amazing job.

In addition, there are video reviews on both our website, as well as youtube, from agents, managers, records labels, as well as the models and talent that we have been blessed to have worked with.  Also google has information all about me, so blindly writing that there are no reviews or information to be found on-line is nothing but ignorance.
