Three Stars Marketing also has been reported as Qwest Marketing looks legitimate from the outside. I applied for the job online and was automatically sent an email to schedule an interview. Once I arrived for the interview, I was asked to fill out a questionnaire on a computer and read the job description I was applying for at the time. This could have been done at home. I was then called in for a tour of the company and second interview. I was told I was going to be speaking with somebody. I spoke with no one on an individual basis. A group of us basically received an infomercial about the company and at the end, we were introduced to some shopping mall site that worked off of the pyramid scheme. We were told we could have a part-time opportunity working independently to help get the new website off the ground by inviting our friends to the site and making money from their purchases.
I decided to perform my due diligence, I found that Three Stars Marketing is Internet Solutions Corp. This company is all over the internet for internet fraud including phishing. The owner of the company's is Alec Defrawi or Alex Defrawy (He goes by a couple of names) has been or is under investagtion for fraud. The whole premise of the company is to create websites that generate income by ad "clicking" and getting personal information.
Three Stars has a website called Career Network where in order to post a job, you have to check whether you interested in furthering your education. From that they get your personal information and lead you to one of the crappy schools they represent. The company gets paid every time they give a lead to one of those pesky college reps.
Three Stars has hundreds of domain names and when searching around their sites, you get lead to another one of their sites.
The Better Business Bureau of Central Florida currently has 15 complaints against the company.
Ultimately, I drove 100 miles round trip TWICE (shame on me) for a job that wasn't real. What a nightmare!
This company also advertises jobs with great titles and job descriptions. Basically, every job is some type of phone gig. They recruited people with B.A. and Masters degrees with the descriptions - only to perform call center work.
This company has positions posted EVERYWHERE. Monster, Career Builder, Craigs List, etc. If they have their own job board, why would they pay Monster $400 a post?
