I will keep this short and simple. This company does not actually possess your tickets. They will sell you tickets at the going rate for a particular event. They will have a general section but no seat numbes. They dont have actual row and seat numbes, because they do not have your tickets often times in hand. In my case, they decided to sell my SuperBowl 49 tickets to a higher bidder. We paid a fortune at the time, a couple days after the NFC Championship game, and decided it was a once in a lifetime trip. I called and emailed them and received confimration my tickets were good to go... that is until I mentioned how many friends were begging me to sell my tickets which were going for an unheard of 12000 per ticket. When I mentioned that, it all changed. They suddenly how to make calls, put me on hold, and then got very inquisitive about me selling my tickets. I made it explicitly clear I was not going to sell them, and that we had spent thousands on travel to get to the Superbowl.

However, when we got out of state to the hotel, I received a phone call that they were not able to deliver my tickets because a vendor/supplier did not follow through. This is BS... What really happened is they thought they had a weak-minded sucker who would accept this apology and they then turned around and sold my tickets to a higher bidder, making thousands upon thousands in profit at my expense. This company has a history of doing this unfortunately, and has been sued before (They will be here again shortly). DO NOT TRUST this company. They are ticket speculators, meaning they will sell you tickets at the going rate, then wait until right before the event to buy them at half price and tell you they "upgraded" your seats. Shameful behavior for a company, and one that if it treats people like fools and is willing to scam them and cause this kind of damage to them, should not be in business.

Wow, this Company actually is very responsive. I had not expected any sort of real response, as this is a large company and I am just one customer that most companies would say is not worth the attention. I have received multiple calls and emails from the CEO/Owner of the company R. Cohen. He and I had a healthy debate the first call, and although he said that very seldom a "supplier" to their company fails to follow through, it is a reality of the industry that it can occur. I told him that it truly felt as though his ticket sales reps were trying to resell my tickets. As it turns out, they as a company are reseller of tickets themselves, with contracts in place with certain "suppliers." Those suppliers for Ticket city and a bunch of other ticket vendors never followed through, and as such these companies were stuck with mad customers like me. He apologized extensively, and then without any prompting sent me several gift type items and a gift card to his company towards a future sporting event. Although the gift card won't cover all of the lost money on my vacatoin from this, it was a nice gesture and will provide a future sporting event that I can take my family to. Overall, this was unexpected and in many ways, I would very much doubt other companies in this industry would have done the same. After all, I am but one customer of many thousands this company services each year and my one complaint likely would not have affected them much. So, going forward, belieive it or not I am going to be giving Ticket City more business and a chance to really prove to me that this experience was an anomoly after all.
