I ordered 2 items on TigerDirect.com website. I didn't sign up for any additional service or rebate and never used any. TigerDirect shared my information with CompleteSavings.com company that sent me 3 emails ignored by me as spam because I didn't have any relationship with SavingsDirect. Recently I discovered that more than 1 year my credit card is charged $12 every months for membership I never signed up or used. It was membership with Complete Savings. They used exactly the same information as I provided to TigerDirect. I found old emails and easy figured out that CompleteSavings sent first email a few minutes after my purchase from TigerDirect. In this email CompleteSavings refers to TigerDirect and advises to make next purchase from this company. Since I didn't log-in to the CompleteSavings I received 2 more emales with login and password. All the above I just discovered and never visitted or registered with CompleteSavings. This fact doesn't stop CompleteSavings from charging my account. Now TigerDirect advises and links to another preferred partner - Shoppers Discounts & Rewards. Be careful - may be just looking to terms and conditions will be considered as membership with another scammer. Credit card information will be provided to Shoppers and you never now about it because such emails usually go to trash or spam. I called TigerDirect and was surprised to hear that it is my fault and they tried to convince me that I registered and provided credit card information myself and CompleteSavings does legitimate business.

TigerDirect must inform customers about class-action lawsuit

Complete Savings is Webloyalty company. It is a fact that on June 30, 2009 a federal judge in Boston approved a settlement agreement in a class-action lawsuit alleging that Webloyalty broke state and federal laws by failing to disclose details such as the monthly charges. More than 20 million people were cheated. The Federal Trade Commission is finally cracking down on companies that rely on negative option marketing to make their sales. Negative option deals take your silence as a yes and then bill you forever for something you probably didnt want in the first place. Heres how it works. You sign up for a freebie, but the vendor requires you to provide your billing information. Then it keeps billing you for your membership or subscription in perpetuity unless you write or call to say no. Negative option marketers count on the fact that most people forget the whole thing and dont notice charges to their credit card or bank account for months. TigerDirect has perfect partners that share 50/50 of such membership. Names of such partners can be different but action is the same - to cheat you on monthly basis. TigerDirect rejected to refund lost money. I try to get it back from Complete Savings, but it isn't easy. They require to send a few papers by mail. if you are cheated - complain on FTC website. If it will be many people with such complains - we have chance that FTC will start action. TigerDirect already had problem with FTC earlier. So, their business isn't clean as they try to present it to public.
