Timber Lodge RV Resorts Don't buy into this!! Apple Valley, Minnesota

Buyer's beware.  We bought into the membership for the park in New Waverly, Texas.  I am of the opinion this is a scam. I did not think so until we tried to get out of the membership by not paying dues. 

We have had this membership since 1998 and only joined because we needed a home park in order to belong to Coast to Coast. Never stayed at the park in New Waverly, Texas.  We are selling the RV - don't need Coast to Coast any more; consequently do not need Timber Lodge RV Resort in New Waverly, Texas.  I wrote telling their headquarters in Apple Valley, Minnesota that they can have the membership back and they could sell it for whatever it is worth. I guess it isn't worth much because they don't want it either.  They make you believe you can't get out of it until you die.   I called and was told it is a lifetime membership and that we had bought into a timeshare.  Are they kidding?  Where did the word timeshare come from?  Our contract says when you die it passes to the fourth owner ? ? ? ? (Who is that?) 

There is also a clause in the Membership Certificate that says your membership is terminated when you don't pay your dues.  That's when Monterey Collections steps in.  (By the way, Monterey is also on the Rip-off list.) 

Don't pay.  It is a scam and hopefully will soon be exposed.  How about a class-action suit?
