Had a search on craigslist and found what I thought to be a great company, By the name of Titan Alarm Inc.
At the Interview, I was given a goofy questionairre that consisted of questions that most people would not get right. Still i got most of them right and proceeded to get a job offer, getting paid $12 an hour was not something to turn down in my situation having a wife and a kid. I then was told i would be provided a company vehicle and would be trained in both aspects of installing alarms.
After not getting my company vehicle, I would then go about 2 weeks having to travel three times as much to pick up another tech that would train me and work along side of me. I was not reimbursed for travel. Still I had to keep asking for my vehicle, I was given the runaround and told that It needed to be cleaned, this happened for 2 weeks and finally I was given keys. I keeped busting my back and worked everyday learning as much as I could and buying tools that I was not told in the beginning I would have to purchase.
A week after I received my truck, I was told to come into the office AFTER work. I went in and was sat down by office manager, inventory manager and other employee to be let go. I was not given a reason even after I specifically asked for one, seeing as how I would not want to make the same mistake in another organization. I was unprofessionally told that it was just not working out.
Anyone that values their time, may want to think twice before working for titan Alarm Inc.

Dear Anonymous - I won't be using your name to protect your anonymity. In my response I asked you to send me an email if you wanted to clear things up. To this date, I have still not received any communication from you outside of this forum. I have not received an email, phone call or letter from you with any requests since the day we let you go. Communication regarding these matters are private and are better held in a private setting.

Sorry about that Taylor, it took me a long time to file this because I was forced to rebuild my life after being SUDDENLY let go at your company. I was told when I was hired that I was going to be in TRAINING, now when in training I was told to do whatever the person I was working with told me to do. Now I know that I did not show up to the diamondbacks game but i was told that we were all going together at the same time and was not told that instead we would all be meeting up after. I only worked for you for about 3 weeks, it was good work and I was learning pretty fast or so I was told by a few people on top of being told GREAT JOB and AWESOME. And as for the termination letter I do have it. Like I said there is no explanation other than I am being let go.
As a metter of fact I even believe that in the new hire paperwork it clearly states that there was a process to being terminated. step 1 was verbal...never got that. Step 2 was written...again nothing. Step 3 was possible termination. Now if I was not following your process or was as you said not being a "critical thinker" I believe that as a professional who runs their own business, You could have had the professional courtesy to let me know not to just do as I am told. I do prefer quality and I like to learn things the right way before I put my own Spin on it.
Lastly as for picking up the other worker I was told by my first trainer that since he was being put on another HUGE project by himself that I would have to pick up the other guy. If you are serious about refunding my gas money then I would appreciate it greatly. I had hoped that I would be with Titan Alarm for a long time, helped you grow your company like I knew I would have. Unfortunately You did lose a great employee though and I hope you learn from your mistake when you interview someone and tell them exactly what you expect.

Dear Employee,
I'm sorry things did not work out between you and Titan Alarm. During the interview process you did correctly answer some IQ test questions and did a great job with them. We need people with critical thinking skills and those questions are detail oriented. They were designed to bring out those attributes in people for us to see and evaluate. It was a fun process and in fact, we even gave you a movie ticket for answering so many of them correctly. Also as I remember it, we had also lined up for you to come to a Diamondbacks game with us after your first month of work, which we called you a few minutes before the game to see how far away you were and you said you were not coming.
If you were asked to travel with your own vehicle, using your own gas money to anywhere other than our company parking lot, a reimbursement was definitely in order, and we are always willing to correct that. I'm confident we did not ask you to pick anyone up without using a company vehicle and a company gas card, but if I am wrong, please send me an email, and I will check our vehicle tracking records and gas card records for clarification and will correct the situation immediately.
I apologize that you feel like you don't know why you were terminated. If you provide an email or mailing address, I will be more than happy to provide the letter you requested clarifying this for you.
I really wish things would have worked out with you. We had high hopes for you and your abilities after the interview process, but unfortunately this job is not for everyone. It's never an easy thing for anyone when the situation requires the employee to be terminated and we hate this part of the work environment.
Sincerely,
