In Jan of 2005 I bought the Tomtom 300 - I purchased the unit to find out that the maps had been out dated by a year. I called tomtom and asked about it was told that an update would be out shortly.

I waiting 30 days and called again to find that they again were delayed in gettting the maps out. I waited another 30 days and the maps still were not released.

At this point - I am past the 90 day mark and cant return the equipment (seems like the delays are planned that way)

Fast Forward to March 07 - I get an email telling me of an updated map available from tomtom (2 years later) I go online and pay the $55.95 thru pay pal. I then get an email saying that it will me 3 - 4 weeks for delivery. I could find no where on the site that it warned you before you paid that there would be a delay.

I called asked if there was anyway to get it faster I was told no, I asked if I could escalate this and was again told NO.

It is now April 3 we are at 4 weeks and it is due, I called and am now told that it is now 4 to 6 weeks (now they are not clear if this is an additonal 4 to 6 weeks or if this is must 2 more weeks)

I asked to escalate this Jessy - the "supervisor" told me that she would not allow me to escalate this since I would only hear the same thing.

With the sceme they are using it appears that they can just keep extending the due date, like they did the release date of new maps to keep you from getting any kind of refund. It appears that I was duped.

What amazes me is even after all this I have tried to remain a customer, even thry the bad service, deception, I have been willing to be a customer or tried to. Rather then helping me they simply stole from me.

DO NOT GET A TOM TOM....
