I was scammed by Tony Gurov. He has taken money from me to help me with my mortgage. I was facing foreclosure and needed help. He told me he was a appointed Real Estate Attorney in Florida and handled all the past due mortgage accounts for my bank. We met in person at my home, he was a very young man with a thick accent, probably Russian or Ukraine. He was well dressed and knew what he was talking about.

We went over my mortgage loan documents, he told me that I was a victim of Predatory Lending Practices. I was shocked, I didn't even know what that meant, but I felt like a victim and he could possibly help.

He convinced me that he enrolled me into the bank's repayment program and that the foreclosure was ceased - for now at least. I started paying my mortgage through Tony, he told me that he was the new account manager until the loan was current. I paid him $2500 up front for a retainer fee, then $1000/month as a repayment plan. My bank never received anything. They did say that someone had submitted a loan modification packet, but it was nowhere near complete and it was too late. I was just too far behind.

I have lost my house and Tony will not return my calls. The bank does not know who this man is. I don't know where to turn and now I am homeless staying at a friend's house. I hope nobody else out there is getting scammed by this man. If you are contacted, please be advised: This is a scam artist!
