I got scammed about a week from today.

I got a call from 'Jean Wallace' stating that she had spoken to my boss and was told that I'd be the best person to talk to regarding supply orders.

She had stated that her and her husband were selling office supplies at a discounted price because they were moving to Arkansas. She started to give me a list of discounted items and asked me a few questions about our company (ex: how many employees we have, etc.) and which supply items we use the most frequently. Then, as she went through a list of supply items, she asked me how much our company uses each of the supplies. She listed many items very rapidly and gave the prices for each. I was very mindful of the prices that she gave me and took notes of everything she said.

Though I felt uneasy at this point, but because she said she got my contact information from my boss, I thought this conversation was legit.

I never ordered any items but I let her tell me the prices they were offering. I asked if they had a website with the price listing and she said no.

Today, 5 boxes were delivered from UPS to me. I googled and found out that this was a scam. I called the number (479-229-2622) and I was prompted to a voicemail with a lady who has a husky (smokers) voice. I left a voice message with them...so we'll see if they call back. I approached my boss about this, and come to find out, my boss never talked with this lady.

Actions are already being made. I've contact BBB and our company's lawyer.
