Town And Country Auto Dealership - Did not tell me car had been in accident Milwaukie Oregon

I bought a car from this dealership in good faith. Besides them trying to sell me thousands of dollars worth of extras and service contracts; it was a smooth transaction.

The car is a sedan and our family is growing and decided we needed more room. I went to trade the car in when I was told I would get a huge deduction in trade-in value because the car had been in an accident.

I went to this dealer and told him what I found. The finance manager was honest and told me he would discount the car anywhere from 500 to 1000 dollars if he knew it had been in an accident. So basically I was out 500-1000 at least. They never told me the car had been in any sort of accident when I bought it.

They assured me that if I was willing to work with them they would make it up on a trade in for a different vehicle. I picked out a few options and then they decided to try and hose me again. They told me those two options would not work (that was a lie) and that I would have to pick a different option (basically a piece of crap that did not reflect what I needed).

Meanwhile while they played the numbers game with the salesman running in and out of the office my wife and two kids had been waiting for over 3 hours while we were doing this. At the end they not only were not going to give me back any of the money I was owed but they were trying to get me into a piece of crap for way more than it was worth.

I told them no way and then spoke to "Bob" the manager, your typical car salesman who tried to tell me they didn't owe me anything even after their finance manager had admitted fault. He then told me he would call me Monday morning after he spoke to "corporate". No call Monday. I called him back Tuesday and he had forgotten who I was till I reminded him. He then told me he would have a guy from Corporate call me. Never got a response back.

I find it funny that this car dealer claims to be about customer satisfaction even having a motto of: "Drive Home Happy" and then treating a customer this poorly. If you ever want to drive home happy make sure you do not ever support this car dealer in any sort of manner.
