Bought a brand new 2010 toyota tunda on a sat. evening took for test drive the truck was on empty the salesman instructed me to head back to dealer so we did not become stranded so I wasnt able to test drive on freeway as i asked to do i assumed it was brand new and It was a toyota so i had nothing to worry about well I was wrong on the drive home on the freeway i noticed it had a pull to the right i took it back first thing monday morning I was told they alighned the front end and i left it noticed it still pulled to the right so i called they told me i had to make an appointment for service and the soonest they could get me in would be the upcoming sat so i took it back remember this truck now had only 300 miles the service tech took it for a drive i walked back asked him if he noticed it he said yes i was told it was ready to go and that they had moved the right front tire to the left front and visa versa so when he handed me the service ticket it stated that they moved tires from the left to right and that it now had a left front pull and that they suspect it is a road crown problem i guess they arnt to bright because now it has a left pull wouldnjt you think that since they moved the tires that it would be considered that the tire is bad not a road problem and they told me they do not warranty tires and that this is a tire warranty problem and not their problem im so pissed that a dealer wouldnt take care of a brand new car problem that is supposed to be warrantied from bumper to bumper, also i purchased an extended warranty and was told if i ever had issues they would supply rental car everytime and it makes it so much easier  as he pointed at the part that said no paperwork and i found out from experiance unless the dealer see's fit you will not get a free rental and they onlt reimburse you for rental and only if the dealer agree's to allow you free rental this dealer and others like them are the reason they keep having to make laws governing new car dealers and lemon laws keep up the good work san bernardino toyota i will never step foot in your dealer again

MICHAEL - ALTA LOMA -

OMG!!! THANK GOD you didn't buy a DODGE! You think your tire problem was a nightmare? If you bought the Dodge you would be spending MORE time at the dealer getting things fixed instead of driving the thing! You hair would turn gray PREMATURELY just from dealing with all their BS stories ala "crown in the road"! Chrysler has a TON more excuses than Toyota I'm sure! I wish my website was still up. You would change your mind in a SECOND about buying a Chrysler product!

I think in the long run you will be happy with the Toyota despite the current recall which is unusual for Toyota.

DEFECTIVE TIRES!

AUTHOR: Get Even - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 24, 2009
WOW! Did I have a flashback when I read your "soap opera" about your defective tires on your 2010 Toyota. I went through the SAME thing for 10 1/2 months back in 1999 with my Motor Trend "Car of the Year" Chrysler 300M! What a piece of CRAP! To make a VERY long story short, the dealer is right about ONE thing- the tires are warranted by the tire company. Call CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS for the tire company ASAP and explain the problem. Tell them that you want to take it to a factory authorized dealer near you to get the tires checked out. Like me, I am SURE that you drove over the same roads with your previous vehicle and never had a problem with the "crown in the road"! That is their BS! They ALL try to give their customers the same BS as if we were ALL idiots!

My defective tires were Goodyear LS's. I had thousands of miles on my tires because I gave 3 dealers a chance to correct the problem on their own before I took matters into my own hands! They rotated the tires God only knows how many times. They replaced the rack and pinion steering etc. I had this whole soap opera written out at Yahoo GeoCities, but they no longer have GeoCities and the site was deleted.

Anyway, STICK TO YOUR GUNS! DON'T GIVE UP! That's EXACTLY what they want you to do. If the tire company doesn't help you, which would surprise me, then call Toyota CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS and NOT "customer service"! They are MORE useless than the dealers. The "factory reps" are JUST as incompetent!

I hope this helps. PLEASE post here again when you solve the problem or keep us informed as to what is going on. Good luck.

MAKE SURE TO GET IT IN WRITING THAT YOUR AIR-BAGS AREN'T DEFECTIVE, AND HAVE TOYOTA CORPORATION PUT IT IN WRITING THAT......

AUTHOR: Karl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 24, 2009

YOUR AIR-BAGS WILL DEPLOY IF YOU'RE IN THE TYPE OF ACCIDENT WHERE THE AIR-BAGS SHOULD DEPLOY, LIKE A HEAD-ON COLLISION, OKAY?

'Google' this- ENGINE SLUDGE, and go to the consumeraffairs website about 'Toyota Engine Problems' and click on- 'Airbags' when you get there. Read all of them.

Then 'Google' this- YOUTUBE TOYOTA SEQUOIA DEFECT, and watch that video on the web. I believe that the Sequoia & the Tundra are built on the same platform, correct?

BE SAFE.

Good luck to you.
