I received a letter from the abovementioned company and the check enclosed
looked perfectly legitimate, but I had to call a phone number to " activate" the check. I did this, and then he told me I had to put the check in my account. I told I did not have an account and he told me to open one and call him back when I had done so. I said that I would and immediately called the Federal Trade Comm. and found that this was indeed a rip-off. I am going to the post office now to see if they will display a copy of the check and the letter so others will not fall prey to these (explitive deleted)s. Thank you for affording me a place to air my grievances. I hope I can help someone who may otherwise have fallen for this scam. Thank you, rhb
