My wife went on an interview today at True and Associates Inc. of Pompano, Florida. She responded to and email request to interview her for a position as a "Customer Service Representative" The service she used to find the job was a popular job listing site. When she called the company (day before yesterday) she spoke with a friendly and polite woman who told her she has three different positions available. My wife said she did not under any circumstances want to "sell anything." The friendly woman told her there was no sales involved in the customer service job and that she should come for an interview. We read several rip off reports about this company's deceptive practices on "rip off report" and decided that since the woman was so nice, she would show up and see for herself if the job was real. THE JOB WAS NOT REAL. The owner of the company who's name is "True Apodaca" interviewed her today. When she asked where her office would be he told her "you will be doing customer service in businesses in different locations" She stated that she was not interested in selling anything. He responded "you don't sell anything you just talk to people about products." The "talking to people about products" is nothing less than a sales position which pays commission only with no benefits. When she explained to True that his representative on the phone had assured her no less than three times that it was a legitimate "customer service job" that involved no traveling or selling he would no longer make any eye contact with her and spoke in vague ambiguities about strange "management opportunities" and "customer support and service in promotion of quality products". The reality is, this company wanted to load her into a van and take her to auto parts stores to sell promo products. He tried to make it sound like something it was not. True prays on those who have little education and no business savvy. He likes young inexperienced applicants that he can manipulate with his meager, ambiguous jibberish. He hopes to impress and intimidate people into blindly accepting a "position in marketing" which amounts to nothing more than holding a can of car wax and touting it's benefits to the general public. This position may be fine for a young person who has little potential to do much else at the moment. But my wife is from Europe and is just trying to find a starter job which is something like "customer service" She is highly educated and was horrified by her experience with True and Associates. She was clearly told repeatedly that she would not be selling or traveling. True thinks people are stupid apparently, which is probably why people complain that he does not pay them for the work they do. (see other rip off report in which True claims he "did not know" his X employee had not been paid.

My wife walked into a shabby office with blue and green striped wall paper and was immediately unimpressed by loud obnoxious music. She was then introduced by a scantily clad woman to True Apodaca who apparently can not afford a decent pair of shoes. The business may be legitimate but the way it is presented is not at all what it is in actuality. If this company is legitimate and honest, why does the owner have to lie? Why can't he look an applicant in the eye. Why does the position he advertised for not really exist? Why is it next to an Adult Book Store?

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. IT IS NOTHING LIKE WHAT IT CLAIMS TO BE ON INTERNET JOB SITES. Just read the text on the website and you can see that there are very pretty words that do not in reality mean a thing. True Apodaca is anything but "TRUE". AND THAT'S THE TRUTH, TRUE.

Please stay tuned for one of True's idiotic and childish rebuttals. I can't wait to read this one. The rest of them were so entertaining.

We hoped that the rip off reports were not true. My wife really wants and job and in this market, it isn't easy to find a good job. We learned that the people who write to "rip off report" are not kidding. Next time we'll know. It was true what they said about True and that's the truth.

Solipissim2,

First of all i do not load anybody into a van to go to auto parts stores. It's entertaining to me that you would make something like that up. A false statement like that makes you look stupid.

The former employee who claimes he did not get paid worked here for a day. I mailed him his check and he did not get it. I understand that "the check is in the mail" sounds extremely fake. However, upon learning about the mishap, we reissued the check.

What is also entertaining is that you would make a comment about my shoes. Are you for real? Maybe they're not from Europe but I like them. Get over it.

The most entertaining part was how you used the words true and truth so cleverly. I have to admit i chuckled.

On a final note I hope your wife finds her place in this new place. Truly.
