True Results - Houston, TX False information given and refusal to honor verbal/written contract. Houston Texas

I have been trying to get my sleeve surgery since January.  When I first went into the office they said I would need to get a EGD to see if I had a hernia.  I was told that they accept my insurance, but that my insurance didn't cover the surgery.  I was told don't worry because they could figure something out and offered several different alternatives as far as self pay went.  I was told they have special pricing and financing for self pay patients.  I continued on with True Results because of this informaiton given to me.

I was told I would have to have a sleep study done and then I could schedule my surgery.  I was then told that someone in coprorate made a mistake and that they did not accept my insurance, but don't worry, I could go to the Dallas location because they do accept my insurance.  I was told I could get on a grant progam that would cover all but $2500 worth of my surgery.  I was also told I would have to get more labs done and see a cardiologist to get medical clearance since I was traveling to Dallas.  I was not really happy about having to go to Dallas, but they also told me they would pay for the hotel stay and give me $250 travel expense.  I should've known it was too good to be true.

About a month later I was told that they stopped paying for the hotel and the $250 travel expense, but that I would still have to go there for my surgeries.  I of course was not happy, but was still going to go through with the surgery since it took me a few years to decide to convence myself to even do the surgery at all.  

I finally got my EGD scheduled and was told that I'd have to once again get more labs done.  A day or two before I was suppose to go to Dallas to get the EGD done I got a call saying that I was actually going to have the surgery here in Houston. I was excited that i wouldn't have to travel to Dallas, but asked to make sure I would still be able to get the discount I was told I would get in Dallas.  I was told I would still get the discount from the grant program, so I went and got my EGD done. I not only had a verbal contract that I was in the grant program, but I also have it in writing.

I got the call that my EGD came back showing that I don't have a hernia.  I thought this was good news, but evidently it was not because that's how they would be able to do my surgery at a lower cost.  I said well that's okay because I'm under the grant program anyway.  At that time I was told they no longer offer the grant program anymore.  I was very upset and asked if I could speak with someone higher up to see if there was anything they could do.  I had already incurred hundreds of dollars worth of extra labs and doctor visits to prepare for the surgery.

I was told today that there is nothing they can do for me eventhough I had a verbal and written statement stating that I was in the grant program.  I have been emotionaly and physically stressed about all of this for the last 5 months and feel like I have been taken advantage of.  I was so excited to start a new chapter in my life and trusted this company would honor their agreements.
