EDitor's UPDATED info 2-20-04: Rip-off Report is still receiving complaints that they are not receiving the refunds as promised. Rip-off Report has been in contact with the Company and has made them aware of these issues. They have assured us that refunds are being given to those who are providing them with all the correct contact information requested by them. They have also provided confirmation/proof of over 2,600 refunds to date, on a spreadsheet, and Rip-off Report staff called and verified more than a dozen consumers at random, all very angry & outraged, but, they all did get their refund. The company again apologized for the delay and reported that credit to your account could take as long as 4-5 days. As we understand it, this company only does the processing for all the other companies, so they are at the mercy of those companies funds, further delaying your refund.

CONSUMERS REPORT

i was contacted by a Ms.TIA Lynn.she said she represented a company called visa trust benifits.her company was contacted by another bank that i had applied for a credit card from,which i was denied.

she said her company was designed to help people like myself to rebuild thier credit.and that i was approved for a secured visa credit card.that all i needed to do was submit 299.00 dollars with a check by phone from my checking account.

which i did. this was on 12/05/03.i recieved some kind of package which contained a bunch of advertisment crap.i called them and was told my credit card app was in the mail.i told them i thought i was already approved for this secured credit card which your co already took my money for.then i was told they only arranged my contract and was given another #1-866 270-7076. two days later i was contacted by trust benifits telling me they represented my bank and i was approved again for a secured master card.to which i replied i already have a card with said bank .

right after i got on the web and tried to find said co[trust/benefits]instead i found rip off reports called them again, asked them if they were one in the same? was told no. needless to say there phone numbers are no good now and i have no secured credit card and can say i was made a fool of.

thanks to them, now i am recieving all kinds of letters from bogus companys offerring me secured credit cards.now i check everything on the computer.
