I too was a major producer in the top tier of UGA. I have left after realizing what a scam this whole deal has been. The policies I sold were the best crafted deals I could do for my clients but they still are beneath industry standards. I left for many reasons, but the sleaziness of management and the lies they put out constantly is what drove me out the door. Please do not do business with these fools and do not for the sake of your soul work for them.

When you that are stuck can leave do so , but I left not caring about the money. I care about my reputation and I care about HOPE( Helping other people everyday), not UGA HOPE( Hurting other people everyday). Adios UGA and kiss my azz.

A proposition cannot be both true and not true. This is the law of non-contradiction, from Philosophy Logic.

This simple law can be formally derived from the empty set using valid rules of inference.

You have provided many propositions that you claim as 'fact', 'fact is' or true. By the law of non-contradiction; If you cannot prove the propositions true, they are false. No ifs ands or buts!

What are you doing? How can you be an employee of your favorite company, and not be an employee for your favorite company?

You always post as an EMPLOYEE, but you said this:

Reference RoR.

'By the way, I am not an employee of the company as you say. I am an agent with MANY happy customers and a great career.'

'Obviously sales is not for you (as can be seen from your personality).'

Speculation. Guess. Unnecessary.

You are either an employee or not an employee! A proposition cannot be both true and not true. This is the law of non-contradiction, from Philosophy Logic.

Therefore, if you are NOT an employee, you need to post as one of the following:

Consumer (Suggestion).
Consumer (Comment).

Stop trying to mislead readers. Decide if your work for the company or not, and make the necessary changes.

But maybe they can't get that either, so you sell them a discount plan because, hey, you have to sell them something don't you? The supporting information from this report can be found at the NAIC (National Association of Insurance Commissioners) for the uninformed, also at PBS Now program page where you can see what kind of policies this company has and the afect they have on people. Also you can find supporting information from the Better Business Bureau in any state you would like to peruse. The companies I represent have had fines however they have not denied their error and blamed their field force like good ole uga. They also have not had a multitude of complaint and they dont have a complaint ratio of 6.12 when anything over 1 is a problem unlike healthmarkets, mega, cornerstone,chesapeake or whatever your calling yourself these days. Now to the other idiot:
Do the math, rocket scientist! 20 million divided by 5 years divided by 30+ states = $133,000 per year per state. Last time I checked, Healthmarkets is a billion dollar company. Also, last time I checked they were still in business. Thirdly, last time I checked, the NAIC settlemenmt was primarily paperwork issues and minor agent training (which the company had put in place several years ago).

Actually, the company is a great company and I have been there for a while. It is sad to see that you think that out of the 5,000 Healthmarkets employees you think that all of them are bad people. Very odd.

I guess you now sell for more reputable companies that have never, ever had a lawsuit, settlement, or have never turned down a claim that they should not have had to pay for, right? Name one.

If you can't name one, then get a life.

Lee, Its sad to see you trying to salvage some goodwill for this scum company. The company provides crap policies to new agents to sell to consumers who couldnt tell a insurance policy from a hole in the ground. Try all you will you cant change the fact the National Association of Insurance Commissioners just flamed healthmarkets with a 20 million dolar fine. Wow, thats no big deal either though is it . Enjoy watching the stock sink its become a pastime of mine. Lol

WRONG - Mega does not sell health policies. Agents sell policies. Where I work we have meetings every week. We have compliance meetings every month. We adhere to a strict code of ethics.

I know of a top producer (maybe it is you) who the company recently terminated because he was not ethical. Every insurance company has one.

I have never EVER been trained to do anything wrong, and the fact is, when people get fired or they can't hack it in sales. It is the company's fault. Not theirs. Oh no...it could never be their fault.

Policies I sell are top notch in the states I work in. My customers are able to open up savings accounts and put literally $4,000 to in some cases $15,000 in savings a year away for retirement.

Mega policies have never been designed to pay everything, just the big things and some of the little things. The point of insurance is not for a physical. It is in case you get hit by a bus. Although Mega has in the past offered limited scheduled plans, they have also right next to them offered some very good plans for a reasonable premium with better coverage.

If you as an "ex-agent" can say that you left because of your conscience, then that means you were selling your customers limited plans but telling them they had better coverage than they had, when they could for just a few dollars more had more coverage.
