I saw a job ad from Union Ergonomics looking for a bookkeeper. I sent in my resume and eventually they told me that they got someone else. In response, I sent them an email thanking them for considering my application.

A month or so later, I received an email from them stating that they had another opportunity available and I was qualified for an interview. The job position was for a Certified DNA Sample Collector. I was then interviewed by a man named Dr.Pourgol who owned Union Ergonomics at the time and is the director/owner or something similar for NAO and CHIPRB.

During the interview it was kind of weird because it was short, he didn't ask me the normal interview questions, and then he told me that if I get the job, it'll cost me around $400 upfront to get the education. I had no problem with that because I understood that normally, this kind of education would cost thousands in a well known college or university in Toronto, Ontario. I thought it was a great opportunity.

Later that evening or the following day I received an email from an employee there stating I got the "conditional offer of employment" and if I finished the required education and tests within two months of that date, I would be offered the job. I signed the contract and went ahead with it.

Union Ergonomics referred me to CHIPRB (Canadian Health Information and Privacy Registry Board) and the National Academy of Osteopathy.

Too make a long story short, they made me study for courses jam-packed with information about (372 pages long) that were hard to successfully pass within a two month time frame. They knew that many people do NOT pass on the first try and require you to pay hundreds for each retest and answer sheets.

I only failed once and I ended up having to pay $800-$900 altogether for my education that I didn't even complete. That's more than half than what Dr. Pourgol said in the interview. They make you pay for every little thing and you will find yourself saying "I have to pay for this too!?!" I then asked for a $300 refund from NAO, took my losses, and walked away from this so-called employment.

They lure you in by offering a $1400 "scholarship" but then you might find yourself having to pay more than that from all the likely fails and charges they will charge you. They also have a phone number that nobody picks up! You're just forwarded to a voice mail message stating that they only answer to emails.

At the end of the day, my recommendation is to BE CAREFUL and BE AWARE of these three companies. I believe it's more of a business to take people's money and I don't want anyone to waste their hard earned cash on any of them. Don't fall for the promises of employment they offer you if it's gonna cost you to even get employed!

If you want to get employment in the medical field, take courses/classes from an accredited and well known college/university. That way, you KNOW it's safe and the diplomas/certificates/degrees are guaranteed real by government standards.

Good Job!

I am glad to someone else filing reports against them!  I am gathering victims stories for a media report, you can find my posting on craigslist if you type in "DNA collector".  I lost almost a thousand dollars and I am beyond pissed off.  I am taking this as far as I can.  I even discovered that Dr. Pourgol was brought on professional misconduct charges back in 2010!!  We need to take this thieving scammer down!!
