I received the notification letter in an envelope with no return address and printed on very unofficial letterhead from Union Trust Financial Company. It included the receipt serial number and winning lottery numbers. The check for $3,800 was enclosed to cover the Tax Clearance Fee and instructions to contact my claims agent TIFFANY BENSON before acting on this notice.
I knew it had to be a scam so I took it to my bank to have them verify my suspicions. They advised that locally I can contact the Sheriff's Dept or District Attorney's office for help in having these people prosecuted. They also advised me of something that we all know and that is that any time a prize or job offer or similar golden opportunity requests any money from us that we can be sure that we are being scammed.
