An African American female claiming to be Precious Lambert, claiming to be a resident of the neighborhood, and claiming to be representing the award winning cheerleading squad at a local high school, sold magazine subscriptions door-to-door on the evening of August 7.
Checking with the local school on August 8 revealed that they have no such fund raiser and no student by that name. (The subscriptions were very overpriced even if they had been legitimate subscriptions, which they were not.) Attempted calls to UFC in Sugar Hill revealed that the telephone service was no longer in operation. We called our bank and stopped payment on our check, but other families in the neighborhood have lost their money.
One neighbor lady even changed her mind and asked the return of her check even before the girl left, but the girl refused and fled in a van.

I have been working for UFC for six months now. I am a college graduate and a former seargent in the U.S. Army. I for one would never be apart of a scam as you claim the company to be. If someone goes to a door and says that they live in the neighborhood, I am shure it is to make that person at ease. The magazines do arive at your homes, and if you compare the prices to the news-stand price you will see that it is signifigantly less. I believe that you are branding everyone who sales door-to-door falsely based on the actions of one person. There are people who make mistakes in every profession. You wouldn't blame President Bush for the mistakes former President Clinton made, would you? So, take a step back and consider who you are really effecting. It is people like me that go to the door and are honest about what they are doing.
