I was just contacted by someone named Shaun Williams who says he is with the United Legal Investigative DEpt and that there was a lawsuit pending against me for an unpaid payday loan or loans. Asked me if I wanted to settle out of court.
He would not give me any documentation either by fax or email to verify that I actually owe this money and said he represented TJF Corporation. I don't know it the above address is correct as I pulled it off of someone else's email. Is this the correct address to this corporation to find out what is going on???
If I legitimately owe this debt then I would be happy to pay it but I would prefer to have something in writing as proof before I send out any sum of money. They seem to have my old mailing address and my social security number which scares the heck out of me.
What do I do? I certainly don't want a lawsuit against me.
