On July 10, 2012, my wife and I went to the United Nissan in Las Vegas, NV. to sell our 2011 Nissan Rouge. No trade in just a sale for cash. We had previously had our car valuated by this dealer a week before and the said they would offer us $20,000 dollars, but could not issue us a check, as their used car manager was not there. We were there for 4 hours before they informed us of this. I was busy during the next week, but we did go back 6 days later and though they had made us a solid offer for our car, we had to start the arbitration all over and with new staff.

After 7 hours of waiting and talking they finally agreed to give us $17,000 dollars. I agued that they had offered us $20,000 just a few days ago. They asked which of their staff told us that, so we pointed them out. They came over and in front of their manager verified their offer. The mgr. Tim Beyer gave them a real mean star and called them into his officer. They all returned in a few minutes then claimed they never made me such an offer. They were obviously just covering their butts. After 8 hours in total I finally agreed to accept the $17,000. They agreed and gave me a copy of their offer in writting, so I signed over my title and all the other documents for sale. While I was renting a car from the rental department, some of the staff came up to me and stated they were not going to pay me the agrred price and told me they would only give me $16,000. I thought they were joking, but they weren't. I went to the GM's office to confront them and they starting belittling me and were very agreessive. The sale mgr. Tim Beyer and the GM Bob Plankinger stood up and acting like wild-men yelled to either accept the new offer or get the hello of their dealership. And when I rebuked their offer another of their staff told me he had a pistol in my pocket and for me to shut the f**k up. They had my signed title and refused to return it for a few minutes, expecting me to accept their new offer. I demanded my title and finally got it back. On the way out 2 of their sales rep. walked behind me and my wife pushing us out the front door.

I have contacted some lawyers for filing a lawsuite and a felony badgering violation. I have also contacted the Nissan Corporation and gave them a full report. They promised to investigate the dealership, as they informed me they had several other major complaints aginst the dealership.

In my report I mistakenly said one of their staff had a pistol in my pocket...obviously I meant in his pocket. Yes they were and are liars, but at first I simply thought they had made a misquote when offering me $20,000 and after 6 or 7 hours their tactics simply wore me down, so I eventually accepted the $17,000.

The loaded Rogue blue-books for over $22,000. I need the money for my wife as the US immigration is trying to deport her back to SE Asia. We were legally married here in Las Vegas and they have no right to deport her when she has done nothing wrong.  It would seem my 4th Amendment right of pursue of happiness would apply. It doesn't.

As I stated Nissan has had over 60 very serious reports on this dealership and as they have done nothing to remedy the problem is a bad reflection on Nissan. The dealship reps remind me of the pushy tactics used by door to door con artists and canvassers in the 60's, It's people like them that make buying/selling a car such a nightmare.

Are you so greedy for a check that you have no dignity. The first time they tried to say they wouldn't honor their previous offer to you, you should have got up and said, "Thanks, but I'll try somewhere else". If they wanted your vehicle they would deal respectfully with you. If they really threatened you with a gun, you should have called the police. But no, instead of using your head, you want to stay and argue, see where it gets you.

"They all returned in a few minutes then claimed they never made me such an offer."

You knew they were liars but yet you chose to continue to negotiate with them.

"when I rebuked their offer another of their staff told me he had a pistol in my pocket"

Did you return his pistol before you left?
