September 18, 2008 I purchased a vacation package for Universal Adveneture USA for a value of $498.00 USD.  The package included 3 days 2 nights in Orlando, two 2 day passes to Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure, 3 days and 2 nights in Daytona, 2 free casino cruise and a bonus of 4 days and 3 nights in Freeport, Grand Bahamas. The package could be taken in order, exchanged for alternate destinations and customized to meet Family vacation needs. The documentation was very professional and even included a reservation request form.  The one condition mentioned was that I would have to participate in a 90-minute tour of premier resorts.  The tours would be scheduled at the welcome centre at check-in and couples must attend the presentation together.  There was no reason to question the legitimacy at all. I was immediately provided a confirmation of FDO9180807, a username and a password.  The contact person name was Danielle operator 9014, telephone 912 434-1971. Again so perfect!  this offer as it resembled your typical time-sharing promotions.  Unfortunately during the period of Sept. 2008 and Sept. 2009, we experienced job loss due to economic conditions and our financial holding were greatly impacted by the down fall in stocks and bonds.  There was no way that we could afford the air travel from Alberta, Canada  to Florida during this period.  In lieu of this we filed the package away until a more appropriate time.  Several weeks ago, I came across this package and although the time had lapsed, I wanted to see if there was a possibility to extend the package to 2010.  My first contact was by email using the email address customercare@universaladventureonline.com.  The website was still there, so I used the "contact us" tab to send an email.  Within two days, my email was responded to by a very pleasant person call Lilian. I explained my situation to her and she indicated that the package could be extended one more year for an additional cost of $99.99 USA. Yep, another fee.  That was the last I heard from Univeral Adventures.  Is this really a scam!!
