University Of Phoenix, Online had been a great opportunity for me to return to school. I was enrolled in the Human Service Associate Degree program. My enrollment counselor Roger LaMarca was always there for me during my 2 years of learning. I am happy with Roger and that is it.

Towards the end of my degree program I had 4 more classes to go, when I starting receiving email and letters from the school regarding my FAFSA (student loan) University of Phoenix informed me that I was chosen for an audit and there was an error in my application. Now mind you 1 year and six months of my degree was covered by prior student loans that worked out fine.

After faxing my tax returns to the school several times someone finally in the university finance office informed me my finances were approved and enrolled me in my last four classes. To my surprise after completing the required classes for my Associate Degree, I have a bill for 3,700.00. My student loan was never cleared. Now that I have no more classes and no degree until this is paid this issue is now in the collections department.
At what point was someone from the school going to let me know my classes were not covered, what if I was at the beginning of my program? I don't know of any school that will let you continue without paying up front, or have a loan approved.

I have paid 50 dollars a week to repay University of Phoenix as I would a traditional student loan, and harass the person from the school when they call me. My credit at this point is shot and I have no degree or official transcript to show for it.

Please enroll in a traditional school where, when you have problems you can see your academic advisor and financial aid counselor.
