UPS And Crawford & Company fraudulent insruance refuses to recompense for damages in shipping Cave Creek Arizona

I see from this consumer report website that I am not alone in being the self-employed victim of a large corporation, in this case UPS and their claims mediator, Crawford. I am an artist and sometimes I ship pieces that are too big for the USPS to take them. In April 2008 I shipped a painting on antique wood through UPS (at Postnet in Cave Creek, AZ) and bought insurance for its value of $2500. THe shipping cost me 233$ and the insurance an extra 43.25$. Having had damage to a small piece that was packaged and shipped by UPS in the past, I spent 4 hours packaging the piece in severqal rolls of bubble wrap and cardboard on top. The piece arrives with some of the wood chipped off and was returned by my customer. UPS rejected my insurance claim, stating that the damage occurred before or after the shipping and that if there was no damage done to the packaging, there cannot be damage done to the piece. This is completely ridiculous - it is obvious that their employees throw and shake the packages, placing heavy ones on top of smaller ones, etc., for this kind of damage to occur after my meticulous packaging. Of course, UPS does not deal with its customers directly, but transfers the claims to Crawford and Company to tell them off, knowing the small individually-run businesses cannot afford to sue them and will swallow the damage. My painting requires heavy restoration, I lost the sale, and UPS refuses to recompense me even for the shipping and insurance costs of a service they did not provide. This is REAL RIPOFF! I am the plaintiff and I have to pay for the costs of the damages, while the big corporation keeps selling insurance for which it escapes responsibility. There is no justice here -- where do I find lawyers who actually are concerned in defending consumer rights rather than making money themselves. DO NOT USE UPS IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO SWALLOW THE COSTS OF THEIR FRAUDULENT SERVICES!
