US treasury department Ripp Green Dot connection New York

I've gotten this phone only today the first time from this guy claiming to be from the US Treasury dept. And I thinkin to myself, thats strange cause from what i know they don't have that kind of department. Anyway, the funny thing is this. After hanging up on him to make him think I was going to wallgreens to get a greendot money pack card I went on line to RipOff Report and found hundreds of these stories about this guy and his group of scammers and came across a very odd, if not disturbing fact. Most of the other people were all sent to get a money pack. Mine was to be $200 dollars to send and thats where the connection comes in you see.

I got this call the same day I ENDED MY ACCOUNTS WITH GREEN DOT DEBIT CARDS! You see, I had been struggling with my credit a few years. Paying down this and that. CHEX system had me down. But after a couple of years I finally got myself caught up and paid down most of my debts with collection agencies. Also, after a few years they have to remove that bad banking info. So now my record was clean and I was finally able to get a real bank account like a real decent person thank God. Today, I just opened my second account with Citi Bank and then decided to contact the GreenDot people and a few other debit cards and end the accounts. (Oh yeh plus I was able to qualify for a real commercial credit card at last) well anyway, after a morning of ending debit accounts, the afternoon rolls around and thats when I get the call.  His number was (((REDACTED))) calling himself Sam Wilson.

I'm not accusing them but, I find it mighty coincidental that a scam company wants me to go to Wallgreens, get a GreenDot pac the same day i end accounts with them and destroy the cards. Anybody else out there have the same suspicions or is it just me? 

Any way, thats my story. Sure love to here from everybody else.
