USAA car and renters insurance Undervalued, and Screwed San Antonio, Texas Nationwide

USAA, auto insurance,  renters Insurance.  Now to buy insurance from USAA you must be a Veteran or your parents  or your sibling be a Veteran.  This is about to become a XXX rated story.  In November of 2015, I had an accident in Atlanta Georgia.  Various item from my truck were stolen while they were in storage, Truck was total loss!  Several times I attempted to access the truck to get Medicine or clothes.  Several times I was told "NO!"  In order to get into these locked and guarded lots, you had to pay the tow bill, and the storage bill and then you had to move it immediately, like hook to it now and 'GIT'!  Then you can enter and take out whatever you wanted.  So 20 days later, I went down paid my $1900 tow bill and got my trailer out of storage.

Immediately I found stuff missing from my truck, the list went on and on.  The cost of the loss was about $13,000 for everything that was gone and roughly $1500 in items that were taken from my truck.  Items that were New, never used.  Example:  Firepit/  Nice to have on a camping trip, cuts down on accidentally started fires.  A propane Generator, you have to charge your phone, a light blanket to cover yourself in the rest areas, not expensive but it did cost $66.00.  They stripped the fuel supply for the generator, rendering the generator useless but repairable, the firepit, it was taken completely, the cargo netting, gone.  The bar-b-cue Grill, MASHED! 

I made a list, priced the list, provided proof of ownership and they provided me with a check for $2300.  Not too bad of a check except the original loss estimate at $13,000!   I only lost, Well you do the math.  It upset me to know that any company screws over Veterans in this manner.

As for the loss on the truck, I got a check on it for $4400 AFTER I proved to them I had in excess of $16,000 in it.  No profit there either.

If you are considering buying insurance from USAA, re-think that idea and then if you didn't change your mind, Re-think it again.  Either that or bend over for a loss if you have to use it.  I cannot reccommend USAA for anything other than a good substitute for a prostitute.  Both will put the screws to you, and with false personal satisfaction or gratification.
