These people contacted me about a student ;oan from 1991 and said if I did not sign up in this program to get me out of deault they would garnish my wages. They also promised that the IRS would not keep my tax return again thath they would send me a paper to file with my taxes to wait on it. I gave them all my bank infomation and began paying 200.00 a month (which I could not afford) but did it to keep my wages from being garnished 20% as they said. After 6 payments they said I would be finished with the program and I would not owe anymore. Income tax time arrives and I got the paper , filed and low and behold they kept all of my tax return and my stimulas check. These people will not get another dime from me--with that being said they have called me 3-4 times a day at work threating to garnish my wages and leaving ugly voice mails. I am not taking their calls at this point due the rules of taking personal calls.

You said you won't pay another dime. Actually you're quite wrong, you'll keep paying dime after dime until all of your primcipal, interest and penalties are paid on the student loan you asked the taxpayers to help you with.
For what it's worth, when the government takes your taxes and stimulus check they apply those funds directly to the interest and penalties which are accumulated daily. Each time the government has to pass your account to another agency for collection, they add 25% more in collection costs.
This debt doesn't go away either, It will follow you to your social security kicks in and they will garnish that income for 15% when you can least afford it.
You may think yourself wise for refusing to voluntarily pay your debt, now that you know the consequences you might want to review your logic.
