On September 30, 2004 a gentleman came to my door to sell me an alarm system for my home. I agreed. He stated they would come the following morning between 9am and 10am to install the system and it should take between 2-3 hours to complete. The installer arrived at 9:10 am and did not leave until 5:47pm after falling through my kitchen ceiling. He said he notified the office and it would be fixed (I had spent over $2500 remodeling it the week prior)To make a long story short, they sent an idiot family member to repair the hole (tape it) 7 days later and I have been in a battle since. Vector wants me to pay them more money, but they don't want to fix my ceiling. I have 2 small children and me ceiling could fall anyday. IHC says Vector will handle this, and Vector said IHC is responsible. I dont give a crap who is responsible, because I know it is one of the two. I want this fixed and I will continue to file complaints with every agency until something is done. I would never reccomend this company to anyone. They are scam artist, and they need to be put out of business!
I have spoken with the same rude Ms. Jackson that is in another report, as well as a Mr.B.Liaberger who was "unsure if he would be able to help me"

We did install a security system for this customer abd as the customer states we did show up on time to install the system. Our installer was there approx. 4 hours, which is a standard time frame for professionally installing a security system. As stated, while our installer was running wires through the attic, he slipped and cracked a small place in her ceiling approx. 16 inches square. The ceiling had 3 small cracks in it, less than 16 inches square, and he did not "fall through the ceiling" as she states. As is standard procedure the installer called the office and informed his supervisor of the incident.
The operations manager scheduled an appointment to go out and inspect the damage and set up the repairs. We scheduled a professional sheetrock repair company to go out and make the necessary repairs. The repair company did this and stated the repairs would be approx. $200.00 We hired them to do the repairs. As with all sheetrock repairs, you have to make 2-3 trips to complete the repairs. The first trip to repair the damage and apply the first coat of sheetrock mud. The mud has to "cure" or dry for at least 24 hours and then you return and sand the area, apply a second skim coat and then a final return trip to finish sand the area and paint. The company we hired made the first trip and repaired the damage area.
The customer complained because the repair man was running behind for the appointment(he called and let her know that he would be running late and the reason) . She called in and stated she didn't want the man back in her house because she couldn't trust him because he was late, and that he "looked like a hillbilly" and complained about the work he did. We informed her that he was very reputable, and the only reason he was running late was because he had a medical emergency in his family and that he called her in advance to let her know that he was running behind. She hung up on us.
We called and left several messages about rescheduling the 2nd trip for repairs and after several days she called and stated again that she didn't want the repair man or our operations manager, back in her house and wanted us to pay her 3-4 times what we had as an estimate to repair the damage. I personally got on the phone with here and told her I would come out myself and inspect the repair work that had been done and write her a check for the completion of the repairs, and she could get anyone of her choosing to finish the repairs, but since we already had a quote of approx. $200.00, I told her the most we would pay her directly would be $200-$300.00. She agreed, but said she would have to check her schedule on when I could come out.
After a week of not hearing from her, we tried to follow up and she never would call us back. We sent her a letter outlining what we discussed and that we wanted to get the matter resolved and still did not hear back from her. As you can see by her complaint, she was installed in September, 2004, but did not file the complaint until 2 years later. That's because after approx 2 years she quit paying her monthly monitoring fee. When the monitoring company, Vector Security, began to make collection calls, she decided that after almost two years that they ought to give her free monitoring. The monitoring company has nothing to do with the repairs, and she was NEVER told that they were responsible.
When Vector informed us of her complaint to them, she had faxed them a letter and they in turn sent me a copy, I attempted to contact her again to resolve it as we agreed and could not reach her. I faxed her a reply back to her fax number and have not had any contact from her.
